Dick Delicious from Fenton MO
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Probably not, i ordered a B stock and nothing but the high gain chanel worked. I returned and got a new one and it seems to be fine.
Great for metal, hard rock or just something to piss your neighbors off with.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
So far so good, after the return ive been satisfied.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
Its cheap, but it has some good distortion. You can easily play anything with that older Rush tone to Pantera and not be disappointed.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The effects switch quickly which is a plus. Sometimes with built n FX it takes a microsecond to switch causing a brief cut out in sound. this does not do that.
The high gain is also Eq'd with the low gains bass, trebel, and mid knobs which isnt something i like to much, maybe if they built in a seperate EQ for the high gain it would be better but for a budget head, cant beat it.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Pretty good range overall, like i said, its good and with an outside EQ it would be pretty awesome.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Fine. The knobs are cheap quality, i had one knob cracked as soon as i used it
Action
How was the action out of the box?
n/a
I usually play Blue Voodoo's and ive had the 6505 head -best metal head ever made- and this one is allright for the money.
