Recommend this speaker to anybody who's looking for clarity, punch for the low end and the workmanship of this item. I bought this item knowing its gonna be around a long time. I've never seen a cerwin vega die yet of normal use.

Not A Dance DJ Speaker

It is a crystal clear, accurate speaker, however it sounds very much like one of those plastic, active portable PA speakers. The high frequencies hit with a crack that is impossible to EQ out. The bass for dancing is just not there. Mobile DJ's can get the same performance from much smaller and lighter speakers. Cerwin Vega used to be a must for mobile DJ's, the name no longer ensures danceability.

I DJ as a side job while being a full time college student, and i have done many gigs in massive halls all the way down to house parties and every time the result is the same, just amazing sounds quality. Crisp highs and Deep bass :) perfect match. I have two and if the venues get bigger might add two more. Great BUY!!

Solid cab and speakers.
Great sound is best feature.
it is a plug and play item.
Covers range of tones very nicely.
Your general opinion of this product.
Great sounding speakers however, since Cerwin Vega sold to Gibson, it is impossible to get parts or info on where to get parts. Customer Service for Cerwin-Vega products is non-existent. I am a do it yourself kind of guy when it comes to repairs of my equipment. I need a new crossover and wiring assembly and cannot find one. Gibson doesn't return my info requests.

Quality is good but metal corners and metal input washers would make these excellent.
These speakers are not extremely heavy and look great. I like the speakon and 1/4 inch connecters. I do not like the fact they do not have the corners protected.
Plug and play at 4 ohms.
The tone is what seperates these speakers from the others. They are very smooth and balanced. The mylar drivers are not harsh like the titanium ones you get with the other brands. My band could not believe the difference in sound quality. They have balanced highs and mids but can still kick the low end.
