Balanced Tension on bass strings helps as much as with guitar strings!

Product Review I didn't expect balanced tension to make such a difference on bass strings, but wow! I slapped these on a new Fender Jaguar Bass with ebony fingerboard (fretted not fretless) and it was completely transformed into my favorite bass for playability and balance. I may use these on my MIA Geddy Lee Jazz Bass instead of the regular set, the next time I change strings. I hope they start offering Balanced Tension across their entire bass string line, including flats! Everyone commented on the sound at rehearsal; a more even cut-through in the mix. And even after a few weeks, this remains the case. So the strings exceeded my expectations in every way.

Product Review These strings are solid performers. They don't seem to dull or deaden with sweat or oils from your hands, they are durable, and the tone is bright without being tinny.

Product Review I happily used Ernie Ball strings for years (and still do, on some instruments), but when I started tuning my four-strings CGCF, I couldn't find an Ernie Ball set that agreed with the new tuning. I tried DR's DDTs, specifically made for low tunings; they worked with the tuning, but the feel and tone of steel have never done it for me personally. I didn't care for D'Addarios in the long-ago time before I settled on Ernie Balls, as they seemed to tinny when new, and went dead quickly; but since they have developed a string recycling program in that time, I thought I could give them a second chance, and I'm really glad I did. I get the bright-enough-but-not-tinny sound right out of the package that I always liked with Ernie Ball strings, but at a gauge and tension that work with how I tune and play these days. Just what I needed.

Product Review As good or better than any brand at any cost! They last and last, sound fantastic, and they just make my bass sound great, with thunderous low end, but great tone on the mids and ringing high notes. Over 35 years of bass playing and I've tried them all, save your money because the best is right here. I had neglected changing my strings for a long time, so I thought I would try these even tension strings. First practice and everyone heard the difference! Commenting on my new tone! For medium to light strings, they sure do slam on my Spector and Tradition alike. I just don't use any other brand, and there sure seems to be something to this even tension approach. Round wound, feels like most any round wound. For Medium to light, they slam and punch their way to the front. Great for the heaviest hard rock, to jazz. I highly recommend these strings to anyone within the sound of my voice! Don't waste money, these are as good as it gets!
