Danelectro Honeytone Amp
Quality:
I consider this product to be very well made, even though the prices may be deceiving. I got mine in September of 2010 and since then it has survived numerous drops with only minor scratches, but it still plays as fresh and new as the day I got it.
Sound:
I did not expect much from the tone before I got mine, but after I had it for a week, I knew that this amp was going to be the best mini amp I ever owned. Not only does it not hurt the wallet, the fact that the tone can start and end clean depending on your overdrive setting is very good.
Reliability:
Ive had mine for a little over a year now, and even though it's been dropped on accident quite alot, it still plays as fresh and clean as the day I got it.
Overall:
This is a very good amp, and I say this because of it's size which is very good for traveling and playing. Another reason I say this brand is very good is because of the headphone jack located on the side that fits a standard 3.5mm headphone plug. Great for practicing in quiet. This amp has numerous settings so you can find that right feel and tone for your music.
Playability and Feel:
It fells a bit chunky, but it is actually kind of easy to hit the controls while playing and really doesnt affect it at all.

Finish:
I love the vintage look of it in general. The paint could interest me more, but the look of it all makes it look like an old 1940's portable radio or something of that sort.
Action:
The action was perfect. Pop in the battery then your set to go.

Sound:
TO ME IT HAS A FENDERESQUE SORT OF TONE AND VERY GOOD CRUNCH SO LONG AS YOU DON'T PEG OUT ALL THE KNOBS! IF YOU DO THEN THE LITTLE SPEAKER STARTS TO CLIP BADLY
Reliability:
I CAN'T COMMENT ON IT AS I HAVE ONLY HAD IT A COUPLE OF WEEKS
Overall:
I WAS LOOKING FOR A SMALL VERY PORTABLE AMP SO I WOULDN'T HAVE TO USE MY 200 WATT RANDALL FOR LOW VOLUME PRACTICE. THIS LITTLE FELLA FIT THE BILL PERFECTLY!

Cant beat it.
Quality:
I have beat it around and had no problems so as far as i can tell, it is amazing.
Sound:
Has everything from vintage Fender clean to very heavy distortion. Can't complain about anything
Reliability:
I have only owned it for a couple of weeks but it seems sturdy so I have confidence it will be fine.
Overall:
This is a great amp no matter what type of music you need.
Playability and Feel:
It is only about a pound if that so it doesn't feel weird on your belt or anywhere you put it.
Tone:
Like I said above, you can get almost any tone you could possibly need out of this amp.
Finish:
It looks great. I couldn't find any irregularities.
Action:
It's an amp... no action. haha

First Amplifier of Any Kind: A Noob's Opinion
Quality:
It's at least the same quality as a PSP, Logitech gaming mouse and other similar all plastic products.
Sound:
It always has a "vintage" crunch to it when played at any volume on any setting. The only way to get a completely clean sound is to turn the volume almost inaudibly low. Personally, I love that crunch. Through headphones it sounds slightly better but that's one too many cords for me.
Reliability:
I don't foresee a problem. After a month of multiple daily plugging in and out, turning on and off and general fiddling everything is good as new.
Overall:
This was the only amp in my price range that I liked. It goes well with my Epiphone Dot and since both are firsts for me I have no frame of reference but I'm just crazy about it. Utilize the price match and this thing is no mistake.
Playability and Feel:
The knobs feel tight enough to last but not so tight they can't be fiddled with one handed while playing.
Tone:
It will never get completely clean but for learning it's more than I hoped for. The range of effects I can manage with just the tone and overdrive knobs is impressive.
Finish:
A bit too glossy to be anything but plastic but the color (burgundy) is rich and the design makes it fun to just look at.
Action:
If I take it out in public it might get me some.

Quality:
This is a really nicely made little Amp. OK so it is plastic but there are no rattles and it is not flimsy.
Reliability:
Too early to tell but seems sturdy enough.
Overall:
Excellent for the money and surprisingly powerful for the size with a decent, if limited in variety, tone for bedroom players
Playability and Feel:
Light as it could be but feels solid. Belt clip is useful
Tone:
Clean or "overdriven" sounds are good for this type of Amp. My son plugged his in and played in the living room and I honestly thought he was using my Marshal turned down. I was going to yell at him when I realised my mistake. I just couldnt believe the volume and tone that this thing kicks out.
Finish:
Its plastic so perfect if a bit plasticky. Looks kinda like old fashioned bakelite. Colours are retro. Id like to see a black one as the colours, to me, are more suited to a Fender player than a Gibson fan!
Action:
Well the knobs work smoothly!

Really nice to have one of these or maybe 2 or 3! Just a 9 volt battery and you have a lot of sound. Even has different types of sounds.
Reliability:
Just had it for a month. But no problems so far.
Overall:
My guitar teacher has been using his for years. He plugs in his Schecter when he needs the electric sound. I bought this for my son for the most part as he uses a Jackson electric guitar. He needed something that is portable for his lessons. I plan on buying another one for myself.
