As a primarily acoustic musician, I very much enjoy the look, feel and sound of the instrument.

The bass has a very good acoustic volume and stands out with other acoustic instruments.

How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The instrument is very light and manageable.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
The instrument has a very and subtle tone, which stands out even when played smoothly.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
I bought a "blemished" item, but the tiny place on the back was hardly noticeable. I thought the stain was great, otherwise.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
As I read in another review, the action needed to be raised a bit out of the box. There was a good bit of buzzing on the lower strings, but after adjustment has been just fine.
