Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Foreign made guitars seem to be getting better every year. I use to be a straight Gibson man, but I'll take one of these against an LP standard anytime. And the fact that you can by 5 of these for the price of one Gibby doesen't hurt either!
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I haven't owned it long enough to tell, but it's made very well and I would imagine it will age nicely.
General
Your general opinion of this product.
I've owned several guitars in my 20 years of playing music, this is pound for pound the best bang for the buck out there.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Guitar feels full in the hand without "thick" in the neck and you can climb the fretboard effortlessly even to the top frets. Neck does not dive when you release it. The guitar stays exactly where you leave it. The toggle switch is in a perfect position and the speed knobs work well.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Tone is dark and heavy without being muddy but the high end cuts nicely through the mix. VERY impressed with the Dean american made pickups.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
I've looked the guitar over top to bottom and front to back and can't find any flaw in fit or finish.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Buzz free and low. The strings were junk and two light, but that's standard from any factory.
