the Dean Vendetta
Quality:
This guitar is intended for beginners. I'm a drummer but i can tell a poorly made guitar when i play one. The frets are not even so when you play certain notes, they are considerably sharp. As you go to the 12th fret and higher, you start to lose entire notes all together.
Reliability:
The tone knob doesn't hold. The Volume knob is falling off, and the screw for the chord input fell out.
Overall:
I think if you want to buy a guitar, you might as well just save another $100 and buy an Ibanez or an Epiphone
Playability and Feel:
It's very light, i will say that. But other then that...
Tone:
The pick-ups are decent but again, you get what you pay for.
Finish:
The finish is not what it shows in the picture. For the Black Finish, you don't see the wood grain.
Action:
It was alright. (this was back when all the pieces were still together) It will need new strings though.

Not horrible for the price
Quality:
Not that well made. It has a grounding problem (easily fixed by soldering bridge area to input jack), but you get what you paid for.
Sound:
It has a flat eq sound. Not too bright or dull.
Reliability:
I've only had it for about 4 months and haven't had any NEW problems. Scratches easily though.
Overall:
For the price, it's a decent guitar if you are experienced only.
Playability and Feel:
Neck is smooth, knobs are crap. Only "off" and "on" knobs, no in between.
Tone:
Light cheap pickups produce decent tone...It sounds kind of dull when playing clean.
Finish:
Light translucent black. Cheap, but cool.
Action:
Action was nearly perfect for me. I just easily raised the bridge about one millimeter.

I've been playing a guitar for about 8 years now, And I've had the honor of playing some of the most amazing guitars that our time has to offer, I wanted more of a metal sound out of a guitar, And I was having a hard time giving up the Fender name. But I went against my gut and bought a Dean Vendetta XM in natural satin, It's more of a cherry-wood color. Great tone! And an awesome metal sound! It is very light weight and easily played, The strings are perfect height right out of the box, I really dig the dual humbuckers. As well as the finish I chose, I've been playing on it for a while now, And I haven't found anything I really dislike. Great guitar, Great Price.
Reliability:
No problems with wear and tear as of now.
Playability and Feel:
Feels very light. Almost delicate.
Tone:
Mellow clean tone, Solid metal tone.
Finish:
The finish is perfect!

Quality:
this guitar is built very well. this price is amazing for guitar with such great tone.
Reliability:
i have owned this for almost a year now, and it has held up quite well. the volume knob slips up every now and then, but it is still a very reliable guitar. (it has been dropped on the ground by accident multiple times.)
Overall:
a wonderful guitar.
Playability and Feel:
this is the lightest guitar i have ever held. it's literally like lifting up a large stack of papers.
Tone:
this tone is amazing for metal. the pickups sound like an EMG 81/85 set, but they still buzz a bit. they go from dark and beefy to light and airy.
Finish:
although the black version looked good right out of the box, you cannpt see the wood grain through the finish at all. The natural satin finish looks wonderful though.
