Not only can you play and manipulate CDs, you can play from a Flash Drive, hard Drive and as a Midi Controller with any software you use. Plus the Engine software gives you more freedom and control of your library. The ability to use an IPad to control Engine wirelessly is an added bonus. You can play with or without a laptop. How playable do you consider this product to be? It is so easy to figure out and configure. I was up and running within minutes straight out of the box. Sound How is the tone? The sound quality of the SC3900 is amazing. I own the Pioneer CDJ2000s aswell and the Denon sounds cleaner with a bit more detail and cleaner tighter bass. I use Audiophile quality cables (Xlo, Audioquest, Pear Cable, etc.) on all my gear which also improves the sound a great deal. Monster Cable MC 400i is also a good inexpensive choice($24.98 for 3ft). Comprehensive XHD High Definition cable is an even cheaper alternative ($12.99 for 3ft). General Your general opinion of this product. I bought the SC3900s because of the moving platter. I missed spinning on my 1200s and these are the next best thing. In fact better. I can drop a song right in just like with the 1200s. Value Was this item an overall good value? It is an awesome value. It does everything the other CDJs do at half the price. I highly recommend the SC3900 or SC2900(non moving platter) to anyone that wants a quality player without breaking the bank.
