The 003 rack seems to be well made. I had a 002 console & it served me well for several years. As long as you take good care of your gear it should last you a long time.

I like the editing, of course, automation, the ability to add other plug ins as needed.

It's pretty easy to use. I had an 002, so it was a snap for me. It still can do more than what I use it for. The 003 seemed easier to set up than the 002 was.

Was this item an overall good value?
Excellent value. You can get into some real nice, clean sounding recordings for a reasonable amount of loot.If you don't need the faders you save a grand or so. Plus, you can add on a fader later (like the Frontier Alpha Track) if you don't like clicking all the time.

The Digi 003 is one of several Pro Tools LE systems that I have owned over the years. It is the best sounding yet and built very well. I expect this product to be a studio workhorse like my past Digidesign products.

The Digi 003 offers all of the features that a recording guitarist needs. The Factory Bundle edition gives me the extra plug-ins that I need for extended crativity.

Like all Pro Tools systems Pro Tools 8 offers new features and an interface that is user friendly and super simple to operate. It is almost like operating an old analog tape deck.

Worth every penny! With the additional rebates that Digidesign is offering right now it is a super value.
