Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Very nice construction. Surprised by the adjustable pole pieces on BOTH sides Reliability How has it stood up over time? Only had it for a month but Dimarzio reliability hasn't been an issue from what I've seen Overall Your general opinion of this product. Bought it to replace the bridge pickup in my Ibanez Prestige RG2550E. Great bridge pickup, definitely a tonal upgrade from the IBZ, which is a great pickup in it's own right. It accomplished exactly what I needed it to. Not too shrill like most bridge pickups and very nice, vocal mids Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? N/A Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The tone if this pickup is a very nice blend of everything you could hope for Finish How did the stain or paint job look? It's bone stock looking. A logo would be nice but then again, understated is a good thing at times. Action How was the action out of the box? N/A

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? It's a DiMarzio!! Of course it's well made and dependable!! Reliability How has it stood up over time? Just got it, but I'm sure it will last for years; it's a DiMarzio, afterall. Overall Your general opinion of this product. I've been playing for over 27 years now, and I've run the gammut as far as pickups are concerned: EMG, Fender, Gibson, DiMarzio, Seymour Duncan...I've had many models from pretty much every brand, but the Joe Satriani series are the best sounding by far!! Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? This doesn't really apply, other than the awesome sound really inspires my playing and opens up new doors to new sounds. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? This is a "medium" output pickup, but it plays like a "high" when ran through distortion/high gain. It's all the best of what any guitarist would want from all spectrums: good lows, smooth mids, crystal clear highs. If you can't get it to sound good, you need to see what's wrong with your amp. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? It's basic black, and looks like any other black pickup. Action How was the action out of the box? No adjustments of any of the pole pieces were necessary.
