Ultimate Distortion Pedal!
Quality:
Made like an anvil, very good construction.
Sound:
I have all of the original pedals this Digitech models except for the MetalMaster and the DOD Preamp, and the D-F7 sounds no different than what they sound like; the real pedals were analog of course, but the digital imitations of the D-F7 are so genuine to the real pedals, it's downright scary. Plus their is more tonal variations because of the double knobs on this pedal; you can get frequencies that the analog pedals could not, because most of them only had three control knobs.
Reliability:
Only had it 2 months, but Digitech pedals will outlive YOU!
Overall:
Every guitar player who enjoys axes and amps should have this! Ibanez TubeScreamer, Boss MetalZone, Electro-Harm. BigMuff, Pro-Co. Rat, and Boss DS-1 were the best 80's dist. pedals ever made. Those pedals were the pedals that recorded some of the best songs, and played some of the finest gigs. This pedal is feature packed and may go out of production in a few years, get it while you can!
Playability and Feel:
Easy to operate controls, knobs are firm not too loose, just don't like the soft clicks on the model selector knob though.
Tone:
N/A
Finish:
Futuristic looking, and modern and sleek, looks good on your pedal board.
Action:
Unpack it, put a battery, select your model, and play away!
