The Whammy v5 version is a very well built pedal with true bypass and the tracking is very smooth.If you like the glitch from the original this one does it a little but not like the first one. It also has midi connection which is also a nice feature. All in all if I had to pick I would go with this version because it’s half the price of an original and you are getting the same features and a few added ones!!!

Used to have an older one that didn't have the Classis and Chords switch. Using the older one and playing a chord with the setting an octave above would freak the tone out to much. This switch solves that problem. For anyone that doesn't have this pedal yet I highly recommend you get it. It's a hell of a lot of fun to use and you can get really creative with it.

Ever needed to slam dunk a funk in a zone of crumudginny? here it is: yes. This boy does it good. Want it? You got it. When you kick into high action this pedal doesn't know when to quit. It's got life style that determines its deathstyle. It knows how to get it going. Deigo Sanchez was never my friend.

This pedal is amazing! The Whammy pedal can do from standard tuning to drop B or C, to higher pitch, all within a press of a button. Amazing pedal, and thanks to AMS I am able to buy the pedal. Every guitar player should have the Digitech Whammy on their board, you will not be disappointed.

I've had mine for about 3 weeks now and I love it! There's so many things this pedal can do besides the whammy part. The harmonies are really cool and the detune effect is pretty awesome too. I noticed you can click the pedal on and have it ready to go before you actually need it and there's no difference in tone while playing thru it. The pedal has a long range or sweep before the whammy effect starts to take place so if you don't quite get the pedal all the way to the floor position that's ok. Buy it! You will be in awe!!

The updated Whammy V is the way to go if that’s what you’re looking for. I tried mimicking it using my TC Electronic G Major and an expression pedal with lackluster results. Do yourself a favor and just buy one of these instead.

It's kind of crazy that I have this pedal. I strive to get a clean guitar signal and than use something that is the opposite of that. However, there are times when I need that. Just get away from the usual and do it consistently. That is the key. Other pedal get you away from the norm, but trying to remember the settings takes all the fun away. Here, it is simple and easy to duplicate.
