As far as $30 stomp boxes go, you are definitely getting more than your money's worth with this guy. My only complaint is that it doesn't have an LED to indicate whether it is on or off. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Maybe a little on the brighter side on tone. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Looks great. Better than I expected for a $30 pedal. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I've been using this for a month now and it's built like a tank. I'm so glad DOD is done with their 90's footswitch design. I used to go through those regularly. Solid metal construction, simple. Overall Your general opinion of this product. I'm no Yngwie fan and I don't play metal but I originally bought this after reading reviews as a main overdrive. Although it sounds great, it cuts out too much low end, but I'm now using it as a lead booster and it serves fantastically for that. Amazing price for the construction quality, sound and true bypass wiring. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? You'd think that most pedal controls are easy to get to, but I use a Danelectro Cool Cat with some of the hardest to reach knobs I've ever seen in a pedal, so kudos to DOD for not straying from simplicity. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? If this didn't cut out so many lows, it would be the world's perfect overdrive pedal. Maybe put a tone knob on this thing and it would have sealed the deal. Still a great overdrive/lead booster for the price. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I prefer my gear to look classic rather than pointy/heavy metal, so I'm surprised the Yngwie designed pedal actually looks good and not like a Yngwie hairstylist got a hold of it. Solid, simple, black, and love those classic knobs. Seeing Yngwie's signature on the side brings a good chuckle to me every time I see it. Action How was the action out of the box? Pedal comes with optional rubber feet in the box - you'll want to put those puppies on if you're not using a pedal board.
