I have been using Hi Beams for almost 25 years. The punch. The brightness. The longevity. You simply cant go wrong. DR is just simply one of the best strings there are on the market. I consider them to be the gold standard.

What can you say about these strings DR’s have been a great asset to have and they are Marcus Miller endorsed I play on a five string custom Brubaker bass guitar and I had the pick ups stick to Marcus Miller’s and I tell you these DR strings Sounds amazing on this bass.

I like my bass sound to be more clear than boomy.. I mean, boomy is good, sometimes. However, it’s not clear on the intricacies and dynamics of such an awesome instrument. That being said, I love how these strings cut through the other instruments, but still retain the boominess, and not be overwhelming on the high end. I recommend it definitely, stick some overdrive on some old strings and you still get a nice clear, woody sound, and some boom in there too. They feel good too, they don’t cut up your skin as much.

These strings really sing, excellent clarity and tone on 3 different basses, they tune and keep in tune excellent, they don't dig into frets on solos. Next to Fodera strings on my Fender Active V Jazz, I will not use anything else!
