Wow! After much consideration, decided to pick up this DW Acrylic 5-piece set and am very happy with the tones! This kit actually expresses itself very well, and I was surprised at the level volume! WHOA!! This thing goes BOOM! But I was most impressed the roundness and fullness of the shells...they actually have character, and a well-defined, fat, round resonance that is very satisfying. Loud, clean and FULL. Wayyy more than I expected. I added an $850.00 set of Galaxy Drum Lights and haven't looked back! For a different vibe, I also moved the stock Emperor batter heads to the resonant side and picked up some Remo CS Blackdot batter heads for it, and OMG, this kit sounds KONG!! High quality DW hardware and good weight to it. I also waxed the bearing edges and I gotta say....VERY impressed with this kit. Excellent value for the $$$! This is NOT a dull, thuddy, flat acrylic kit. Couldn't be happier! Thank you, AMS, for helping to make dreams come true!!!

Before buying this kit, I did lots of research on acrylic kits vs wood kits. Nothing against wood kits, they're amazing as well, but let me tell you, THIS DW kit has been the best decision I've made and I couldn't be happier. The tones that come out of these drums (stock heads) right out of the box was fantastic! I tuned them up with my DrumDial, and the final result was MINDBLOWING, loud, punchy, warm, oOooO it gives me chills. I highly recommend this drum set.

I bought a 5 piece D.W. Acrylic 5 Piece Drum Set. The drum set is beautiful and sounds great. I am very excited to add on more toms and make it bigger. If you are thinking of buying an acrylic set, choose D.W. and American Musical Supply, you will be happy that you did !

I was a little apprehensive about having drums shipped to me, but I went for it anyway. They showed up in 3 heavy duty boxes, everything was packed really well, nothing was damaged, they even sent some extra parts. I put everything together and started playing. They sounded great right out of the box, just as I expected. DW drums do not disappoint. American Musical made the ordering process so simple and they shipped very fast. I'm very pleased!!
