This is a great wah for bass. It also works great for guitar which is what I use it for. The adjustable sweep allows you to dial in the sweep however you like it.

Arguably one of the most versatile wahs out there. Nasty on bass and even nastier on a detuner guitar

I LOVE THIS PEDAL!!! I tried using a couple different envelope filter pedals. They gave me the entry point of where i wanted to jump off but its like its only one spot in a painting but with this CryBaby bass wah, you get to squirm and weave all through the painting...touching all the colors, tints and brush strokes. I literally played with this thing for six hours straight the day FedEx dropped it off. I run it after a fuzz/od pedal in my loop and its just killer. Again, kudos to am musical....making it possible for everyone to get the cool pro gear without taking out personal loans or plasma selling and such. You guys rock!

With the Q knob maxed it sounds
more like a woah or vocal wah, try dialing it back for more traditional wah tones!
This plays well with dirt before or after.
Auto-on was a one star deduction
for me, but might be your thing.

Does exactly what it’s designed for. I love how the sweep can be changed without undoing any screws. Bought it and had it the next day. I love ordering through AMS.

Very pleased with this pedal so far. The sound of the Dunlop 105Q Bass Wah is great. Being able to adjust the wah effect and volume to your own needs and preference is a real plus. It is well worth the price.
The purchase process was a breeze. Thanks AMS.

I love this thing for guitar or bass. It’s awesome to be able to tweak the tone and volume boost. I prefer this over any other way pedal for two reasons. 1. The adjustability 2. Ya don’t have to run it forward and step down on the switch. Just move it and bam she’s on. My only complaint is I wish it boosted itself a little more when playing with a really dirty bass tone.

Great Wah, I use it for guitar, occasionally bass,.. the q on this I like better than the 535q I have. The fact that it goes off when you step off is great for live uses.

PsychoFunkster's Dream

Like a tank. This cry baby is constructed of very solid, heavy metal. It's so beautifully heavy, so it remains near-anchored to the stage...yep, by its weight and rubber bottom alone. The modulation is dependable and will deliver exactly what you heard last time you played if you set it up and work it as you did before. Of course, make sure that your strings aren't dead before you complain that "it ain't what it used to be." I expect this box to be of heirloom duration.
The classic cry-baby pedal adapted to the bass freq-range! Dunlop does it best, without ridiculous bells and whistles others add to cover up what they lack. I play a lot of slap, and when I want my sound to get over-the-top psychelic bootsy-inspired, I love the huge range I can cover to, indeed, bring that Mothership down! Also, I love how one only needs to remove his/her foot from the pedal for it to "buzz off." So many other knockoffs have buttons you need to stomp for that purpose.
Godly: I believe Mr Collins would gladly autograph my pedal, because it helps me APPROXIMATE his sound (sans the other effects he uses). If you ever listened to Bootsy funk it up, well, this pedal can help you get there too.
It feels like honey...you know, it just oozes under your foot, with you the sole-master of the speed at which this baby flies. I'm afraid it has no neck, however.
The tone covers the entire useful range of the bass' EQ.
You can't miss this thing on stage: The white paintjob is consistent, thick, and eye-catching. Perty!
This baby's got very fine action, downright ridiculous how the pedal can be pumped without a blip of a hitch.

Jimi Hendrix would Approve & Take it for a Crosstown Ride

Excellently built, structurally & electronically, solid, foot & floor-gripping HEAVY effect...refreshing in a sea of flimsy gadgets. I've had it for just 1 week: But Dunlop's confident enough to give a free 1-year warranty.
The Q control gives the bassist huge control over the EQ sweep of the pedal--you decide how it's going to "talk." The vol.- control is mega-useful: For instance, set it @ max for soloing that'll cut thru the mix, b/c then the overall bass vol. goes way up when pedal activated. Impressed that you just need to remove your foot from the pedal to turn off effect (w/no clicking sound) & return to your default bass + amp sound, so no fussy buttons to stomp. The black strip on the upper surface of the pedal grips your foot; you won't slip unless you've got issues. I wouldn't add anything to this CryBaby: It does what it's meant to do and it does it real well.
While my bass gently (or wildly) weeps forreal.... Tone-range is nicely adjustable w/Q control & (duh) foot movement. I was happily surprised w/how expressive this babe allows you to be, Wah-wise: It makes your bass cry like a guitar w/a Wah, but since it's a bass you're playing, you're going to surprise lots of people in a good way, dig? Everyone expects a rock guitar to Wah b/c Hendrix blew the world away w/that that decades ago; for a bass this is a breakthrough. Tonal transitions resultant from foot-movement are smooth, w/no dead spots or missed EQ-range/s.
Very playable, user-friendly effect. Pretty addictive, in fact. The pedal rocks smoothly; it never catches etc. Unlike w/stomp-boxes, you'll have to get used to balancing more on one foot than the other while Wah'ing away, but that doesn't take more than 30 min. max of woodshedding unless you're tipsy or have a balance-problem. You want to have the Q and vol. pre-set, b/c like w/any other effect, it's down on the floor. But like w/stomp-boxes, you can fiddle w/the controls btwn songs & sets.
Tone has a superb range, which you can tweak w/the Q button: You can go from very deep-n'-dark to super-biting-treble, & these transitions allow you to get that famous Wah sound. As w/any effect, your bass + amp settings play a key role in just how low & high you can take it.
The white finish and black no-slip foot-pad were flawlessly finished in mine. Being white as snow, you won't lose track of it on a dark stage--a good thing. Easy-access, screw-free 9V battery compartment; clearly marked input, output, & AC/DC socket.
Well-oiled action. Just plug it in & play.
