The MXR Super Badass Distortion pedal is the perfect all around distortion pedal. Deep lows and soaring leads. Adjusting the levels allows for a wide range of sounds from classic rock to hardcore metal. The only distortion pedal you’ll ever need. I’m very pleased with this purchase. MXR is a quality trusted long running brand made by Dunlop, all of my pedals are MXR.

Tonally it needs to be hooked up to another OD pedal to give it that rich, thick distortion sound it SHOULD produce on its own but does not! B+

This pedal is sturdy and built in the highest quality. Just didn't work for me; didn't want to cooperate with my other pedals and a bit noisy. I do love MXR pedals and have 4 others on my board....this one just wasn't for me and my board. Good on it's own straight to amp though.

I bought this pedal as a back up to a old tube king... and it is now part of my effects. This pedal is extremely versatile can go from low overdrive to full blown distortion. I love this pedal. I use this for the heavier tone and the tube king for my overdrive. this pedal has is a great complement to the other guitarist in the band. When he's playing highs I can dial in the low end, and vice versa. Great choice, I'd do it again.
