Can be powered by PC FireWire (6-pin only) instead of 12v adapter
Cons:
ONly SPDIF is stereo output, and there is only coaxial in/out, no digital
The rest of the outputs are MONO channels
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
Pretty straightforward, installing driver wasn't difficult either.
Value
Was this item an overall good value?
I think so, just be aware of the feature cons before buying it. If you're hooking this up to monitors it shouldn't be a problem, but if you're running it to another soundcard or a receiver, make sure you plan that first.

The universal inputs (inputs 1 and 2 in the front) are very handy. They can be used with any XLR cable or instrument cable, and this unit automatically detects which one you have. I have my keyboard going to inputs 3 and 4 in the back fulltime, so I have all the flexibility I need with the universals. I also like the ohantom power indicator for microphones. The Firewire 4 can handle almost any recording project and give you a high quality digital waveform. Unless you have a need for many inputs, like an acoustic drumset micing, this will work great.

I have used other similar products, and this is my favorite. I like to start up and get to making music. This unit helps me to keep from getting hung up on technical problems. The driver loaded in seconds on my computer, and the virtual mixer is super simple.

Often have to power cycle it twice for the system to see it.

$250 is a good price... I'd be fine with $50 more minus any sound crackling or have to power cycle it on and off.
