review title:

The best head I've ever used

Product Rating Your general opinion of this product. This head is perfect for the professional player. It's perfect for the semi-pro. It's perfect for the beginner b/c you'll never have to buy another head. This lets each bass player define their tone. It's guaranteed to be a tone that will never be duplicated with anything other than an Eden amp. It's not worth it's weight in Gold, but I'd be willing to pay more than it sells for.

Powerful, great sounding amp. Weak mechanics.

Your general opinion of this product. Great amp, clear neutral tone, powerful eq. lots of power, compressor is ok, but I prefer my Triple-C. The Enhance feature is useful for that clear, full "Eden-sound" A normal on/off switch for the compressor would have been nice instead of the push/pull function of the enhance knob. Cons: The aluminium chassis is light, but fragile, be careful putting anything heavy on top of it, the chassis will bend underneath around the feet. Buy a rackcase.

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
Quality is obvious. However, when the cooling fan tried to kick on it didn't move, but sat there and fluttered around. I found an inside wire stopping the fan, and when I forced the fan to move it clanked against the wire. I took the top off and dressed the wire back. When this unit kicks the fan on it draws the heat into the chassis instead of pushing it out past the heat sink. When I Emailed Eden to ask about this they ignored me. Too late! I would have liked to help them.

FEATURES:
The EQ section is great. I would have liked to make the treble annoying and I can't. That's annoying. Headphone jack. D.I. out. Stereo input in the rear for practicing. It works wonderfully once you find your settings. It lacks a way to carry it. Even at 20 some pounds it is inconvenient to handle. What compounds this problem is that the knobs are completely unprotected, front and rear. If you aren't careful with this --ouch! Breakage can be swift and painful.
