I did a tube swap almost immediately the ruby tubes were ok but I had a set of TADs and it really set it free. The 3 options US-fender, UK-Vox and Brit-Marshall do a nice job of giving you tone options along with the 2 dozen (tweaker) switches. I run it thru a River's Custom 2x12 cab and couldn't be happier.

This is a beautiful head, I finally picked one up after playing one as a loaner some years back. After an initial issue with some old tubes that the head was shipped with (an issue that was taken care of promptly by the AMS staff), I lit the amp up and it was exactly as I remember: creamy, tight, transparent, smooth. Beautiful sound, lightweight for the gigging musician, and it looks super cool!

Your general opinion of this product.
All I can say is WOW!, this baby sounds fantastic.
I knew the minute I plugged in that this was a keeper.
I have the Tweaker 40 Head and 1 x112 Cab. I have had
all Fender amps over the years, BASS always at 10. At 5 this has more BASS than my Fenders. I was worried about getting "that Fender Clean" - but it's there and more. It just has a tube quality tone that can;t be put into words, so I'll just say WOW!!
I set it up before I plugged in to "California Clean" for starters. From there with it's very intuitive layout, you can get any tone you want.
It can be anything you want it to be by "Tweaking".
Very nice finish - I'm very happy.

well made. Nice wicker-look front. Tolex is a little "soft" and scuffs easily. Noticing a few tears in it from hauling to gigs/practice/etc.
After an initial hitch, has been doing great. I gig with this 2-3 times per week and it's held up wonderfully.

Had some quality issues but got the head replaced and works great. Excellent tone, flexibility, sound. Rockin' amp!
Controls are fairly intuitive and as advertised, it's an amp tweaker's dream. Knobs and switches aplenty.
Great feel and response. Reacts to pick attack beautifully. Can go from glassine to fuzzy just by increasing your attack.
