This Speaker covers every style of music.
It handles the lows extremely well and the highs very well. It also covers midrange levels very well without having a tiny sound. Very happy!

No matter what tone you are chasing...these 300watt ElectroVoice are top notch. I have them under a 100watt Randall Diavlo tube head....full volume and full gain.....they are crystal clear with zero break up. Clean channel or metal channel....my friends can literally hear me 3 miles away clear as day at the local bar and there are heavy woods in between....with the amp outside in my yard. If I turned it up that loud inside my house all the windows would be broken.

This speaker is amazing, i really dont know any speaker out there that can even come close to this, im talking quality!!! Nothing can compare in quality sound, this speaker can even handle way more than even advertised! The louder it goes the more you can hear the drums and whistles it just sounds so perfect, i will recommend this to anyone and everybody. Theres no competition with this one folks! Trust me! (Been doing this since 2008)

Was a little reserved at spending 300 a speaker when I had to fill my 4 x 12 cabinet. But now that I have , I’m glad I did . You won’t find a better quality speaker . You can’t kill these speakers. True Audio file quality you get a true reflection of your signal , crank it up to 10 no noticed distortion discernible whatsoever The quality of the components that make up your signal chain reflect what you get out of it . I always try and get the best I can afford and these are them

Clear, you get your true tone with no artificial color coming from the speaker. Your color dictates the tone from your amp,guitar and if any effects. AMS shipped fast and customer service is astounding! Will buy again.

I put four of these bad boys in to my marshall amp cab and they sound was like a fighter jet.unreal how much power they can handle i recommend to any one who's tired of not really being heard.let the drummer try and play over these.

These are not for you if you desire speaker breakup. There isn't a tube amp made that will accomplish that. You can get all the tune saturation you want. I'd call these cleaner than clean and indestructible. Huge bass with without speaker distortion. Clean amd pure through the sound spectrum. The ultimate!

I have been using EVM12L speakers for over 20 years and they are the best speaker if you need super clean clean tone with no breakup. This Black label version has the same EVM12L Classic characteristics with a little Celestion mixed in. I am used to hearing or, expect the low end thump of like a 412 Celestion loaded cabinet but since I need a more compact setup for gigs 3-4 nights a week, I needed a single 12 cab.
I tried a Celestion in a 112 cab but it just doesn't have the thump of a 412 cab. When I tried a EVM12L in a 112 cab, I was able to get a pretty good thump from the cab close to a 412 Celestion loaded cab. These EV's are heavier than other speakers but they are worth the extra weight. These EVM12L's don't sound right in some amps but when they do, you'll never go back to another speaker.

The sturdiest most rugged speaker I've ever had the priviledge to play through. They're heavy. VERY heavy. Not just in weight, but, also in sound!
I recommended them to my rhythm guitarist several months ago after he blew a Celestion in his Marshall. At first he balked due to the price tag, but after explaining that they were the same ones we had heard Zakk playing through at the BLS concert he went for them. we've pushed them as hard as we can and even after they heat up, they still sound incredibly clean without any diminishment like we were getting through the Celetion's. No matter what we've thrown at them (tonewise of course) they respond like no other speakers we have EVER played through and

Outstanding craftmanship and more importantly, AMERICAN MADE! When I want clean they are incredibly clean, but, when I want dirty they are downright sickeningly dirty! Tons of headroom and my effects and modelings have NEVER sounded soooo good! I have been very jealous of his rig ever since he got them and being as I'm on disability it's going to be a long while before I can afford my own set, but, when I can save the money up and get them, I feel like my rig will FINALLY be complete! I have always demanded a lot of myself and my equipment and those two speakers are at the top of my list of needs. I've even quit smoking so that I can get there a little quicker. God bless your workers who have obviously taken time and care to produce a superior product! Take THAT England and China!!!
Looking for speakers that won't blow when you push them a little harder than normal has been a search that I have been going through for over twenty-eight years and that search finally ended this past year when I heard the sounds produced by your EVM12L's. I was amazed that something that could sound so crunchy could also produce such clean and mellow sounds, not to mention everything in between. October 20th I will turn fourty-three and it will mark my twenty-ninth year of playing guitar. I'm nowhere as good as a lot of people out there, but, I am original and I want THE original EVM12L's.
It's actually a shame that your speakers aren't visible once they are installed, but, I love the design and craftsmanship. Helping my rhythm guitarist unbox and install them was actually a nice experience. He remarked that it felt final before he even flicked the switch and you know what? He was right. The only way he will ever replace them is if somehow there was accidental physical damage to them and I can't see that happening as we both love our equipment almost as much and in some cases more than family. I've told him on more than one occasion that family may let him down, but, those Black Label's won't!
You don't have to be a musician to appreciate the sound, but, if you are a musician, you will have a smile plastered ear to ear on your mug. I will have mine. Don't know when, but, I've been dropping hints every day to my old lady and my friends so maybe, just maybe, they'll get together and help an old fart like me have a exttremely good birthday. Don't let something this good pass you by if you play guitar. By the way, you guys should give yourselves a big hearty pat on the back. Also, give your employees a bonus for such outstanding work and keep American workers working. Last, but certainly not least, thanks to Zakk Wylde. PEACE. Johnny B.

They are quite sturdy. Heavy cast frame and huge magnet.
Appear to be well built.

I love these speakers. They are the best speakers I've ever tried.
These things move a lot more air than any other speaker I've tried. You can tell a definite difference when standing in front of these compared to other speakers.
These will put out whatever you dial in your amp to sound like. They don't really add any thing like some of the other more popular speakers(v30).
I think they look awesome. But you can't see them once they're installed.

Made VERY well and so far dependable. these things were made to last so thats what I expect.
EVMs are supposed to be the most durable speakers. For the price they better be.

Loved the speaker. Excellent clean and dirt. even LOUD.
VERY HEAVY. Feels heavy duty.
The tone can be bright or dark.. however you want. They are very transparent speakers, and will honestly just sound as good as the amp driving it. The only thing you're not going to get out of these speakers is natural speaker breakup. You will need a pedal for distortion.
Some of the metal edges was sharp.
taking it out of the box was a trip. the speakers were covered with a black bandana that says black label on it. Lifting it off was like taking a sheet off of a new car!
