Smooooth and creamy sound. A very pleasing vocal tone and quality. Made us sound better.

I have used and come to love Electro-Voice products for years, but never expected this level of performance from a Value Prices Mike like this.
Sound:
As I said before, No, it's not my Neumann, but it's not $600 either!
Value:
One of the highest value products I have purchased from AMS so far. I'll buy a few more of these.

Great performance mic
Quality:
EV makes a top drawer product. I owned one before and am replacing it because it "disappeared" at the end of the gig.
Features:
This mic has a punch through the mix clarity and has a strong proximity effect when you eat the mic.
Ease of Use:
Plu it in and use it

Quality:
It's very solid and well made, though not as heavy as some other mics.
Features:
Best feature? It eats SM-58's for breakfast. They sound muddy compared to the EV mic.
Ease of Use:
Plug and play baby! Well, actually because this mic is brighter and hotter than the SM-58's and 58 Betas we'd been using, there was an EQ tweak or two, but other than that....
Sound:
The sound is awesome.
It really cuts through the mix.
I let my girlfriend use it in practice, and though she's got a fantastic voice, she's sometimes lost in the practice mix. Not an issue with the EV. It's bright, bold, and really cuts through the mix like a samurai sword.
This mic sounds like a million bucks. It's somewhat creamy, yet bright and punchy. It's hot.
Value:
Oh, what a value it is....

Best for Live Sound Reproduction
Quality:
EV has always delivered high qualtiy products. So dependable I wm thinking about replacing all my Mic;s with these. Have two already.
Features:
The best feature is - plug in SM58 and sing... then plug in the EV and "Wow" what a difference. The reproduction is crisp, clean and powerful.
Ease of Use:
Just plug it in and you are ready to go
Sound:
Great tone... Crisp, Clean and clear. Perfect for the lead vocalist in the group
Value:
Great value at $69.00... no better deal out there.

Quality:
Extremely well made.
Features:
I bought the refurb and it sounds great. I have a stable of dynamics and this ranks highly.
Sound:
Very solid tone with an extended high end. Great for pop, jazz, etc. I also just bought the EV PL80a and the ND767a has a tad more highs and sounds a little more delicate. I'll use either depending on the singer.

The vocal quality is awesome. I wouldn't do anything to this mic. It's the BOMB!
Ease of Use:
Plug and play. A total idiot could make this thing sound good.
Sound:
WOnderful tone. Makes my mouth water, that isn't good for the mic of coarse.
Value:
Yes, I would like to see it go on sale for $99 bucks sometimes but much better than the mic most people get that is $99 bucks.

Features:
rich sound in the low range
Sound:
This review is mainly a warning for female singers considering this mic. On the low end of my range, this mike does help to brighten the tone and gives my voice a richer, more cutting sound. Unfortunately, as a soprano, that only covers about a third of my range. Above, say a mid-A, the sound becomes excruciatingly shrill and EQ-ing could not compensate even with all treble ranges turned completely down. And I actually have a fairly good bass tone, even in the upper ranges. With such rave reviews (all from male singers), I was disappointed. Despite the description of "virtually eliminates feedback", I found its performance only somewhat better than the Shure sm-58, feedback was definitely reduced at close singing ranges but still picked up a significant amount of monitor feedback.
