Product Rating Product Review You can’t say enough good things about the RE20 performance. The 320 is a modern adaptation of the old classic and performs really well, the extra features (pad and lo cut options) don’t really get used much, and theres a kick drum cut that I don’t use. If you have something like a podcast, ad copy reading, radio performance or any other voice application, this is the mic for you. I even like this over the classic sm7

Product Review This mic may seem like a "compromise" to the famous RE20 Broadcast mic used by broadcast greats. Yet, this mic really does stand on its own as a great high end dynamic mic that fills multiple roles than just a voice mic for broadcasting. The mic itself is made of a very durable steel that has a very good heft to it. It comes with a nice padded zipper pouch and a fixed mic mount and really feels like that it has some quality to it. Immediately you will notice that the mic has a blacked housing, which I think is a plus over the RE20. But, the real differences are seen when you start using this. The first unique part is that this mic actually has an EQ switch! This is because many audio engineers have found out that the RE20 made a good kick drum mic due to its high SPL and good EQ curve that fits 80% of the kick drum profile well, and was made perfect by just a little EQ tweaking. Well, ElectroVoice decided to go one up by placing a profile switch programmed to enhance the bits you want for a kick drum mic and still allows for general broadcast use. While some may see it as a gimmick, as a professional audio engineer it is just one less step I need to take to turn this one mic into a multi-tasker! It is easier to justify a price when the usefulness is just doubled. This isn't to say that it is only good at two things. As a broadcast mic, the built in windscreen is fantastic! definitely helps with plosives and keeps the popping down. But, the circuitry that makes this mic fantastic for broadcasting can also provide with some interesting downsides. For example, this is a THIRSTY mic! You need a mic preamp with a VERY good set of headroom on the gain, as this will take a lot to power given that it is a dynamic mic. That being said, I am going to go out on a limb and say that I actually prefer the RE320 over the SM7B for vocal tracking, as it seems to be more forgiving with a variety of voices while needing just a hair less gain than Shure's offering. Note that this mic does *not* come with a shock mount. Yes, the mount for the RE20 will fit this model and are easy to find, but there are also plenty of various aftermarket options that fit the body of this microphone Some of them fit great and only cost $20, which is great for anyone, beginner or pro! The price point of $299 is actually quite fair considering that you are getting a quality dynamic that fills multiple roles, and is quite forgiving on those who may not be a master engineer or who have alot of EQ Theory built up. It is durable and attractive to boot, and definitely classes up the recordings while reducing the ambient noise.

Product Review I love this mic. I have what I consider to be a horrible voice. This mic makes me sound incredible. Very solid build and it looks great too. A must have if you're considering radio or podcasting.

Product Review I bought this new from American Musical and it came with the threaded adapter already installed, and the microphone smells heavily of cigarettes.

Product Review The reason I bought this microphone is because my favorite radio host, Alex Jones from infowars, uses this microphone. However, now that I use this microphone for my transmissions, I'm very impressed of the quality and the the way it suits my Voice. From now on this is the only microphone I will use and the best part is the price. I bought it in the bundle with the shock mount and the XLR a cable. I am very happy with the price. This is the best microphone you can buy for the money.

Product Review Sounds good on just about any source. Bass drum, toms, horns, bass and guitar amps, even harmonica and some vocals. Compares well to the RE20, brighter highs, but easy to correct if necessary.
