So I went to see Living Color live and I gave Doug Wimbush this set of strings after he autographed my Spector bass! Feels like silky strings and the tone is very focused. Are usually play coated DR strings these feel a little silky and a little smoother

They do last longer and sound good. I have a set on for about 3 months. They are losing their brightness.

I have played bass professionally since the mid seventies, and always used Roto Sound until I bought a new Ibanez SR1200E that came with Elixir Nanoweb medium gauge strings. I love the sound, feel, and especially the lasting time of these strings! I used to have to change strings every three to four weeks, but the Elixir Nanoweb strings last for months! EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!!
