General Your general opinion of this product. It's a snap to install it took me more time to unstring and re string and tune then the new unit took to install. Great craftsmanship packs a punch awesome crunch due to the double hum.. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? First quality the pick guard ads a nice touch to my black strat. The controls are sturdy and smooth. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Packs a nice crunch, punch, and is chunky as it gets due to the onboard powered preamp. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? It's bright and snappy as well as dark as a your favorite Metallica song. If you want a pickup set that will go clean as spring water this might not be for you there is distortion in the full range of the power band, it's every part of edgy like a Hotfinger Gibson pickup so if your looking for a way to turn your strat into a dragon slayer that takes no prisoners this is just what you have been looking for. Action How was the action out of the box? Pickups are fully adjustable of course. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Finish is top notch Kirt would put his name on nothing less it WILL ad aesthetic appeal to your strat and with the single tone knob makes it look very custom it doesn't look like you just threw a double hummer on it . Makes it look like you checked your strat into a custom shop and definentily spent more than the 250 price tag on this easier to instal than strings item. "Plug and play no soldering required" technology is awesome.. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I imagine that the top notch wiring and dependable EMS pickups switch and knobs will last as long as you don't light it on fire then smash it through every speaker on a Marshall double stack then throw it in a swimming pool. But I would check it anyway just to make sure your not throwing away a perfectly good electrical set up.
