Product Rating Product Review EMG makes great stuff, these pickups and preamp and wired for easy install. However if plugging in color-coded wires is beyond your abilities, emg has a series of videos to show you the way.

Product Review I bought these to replace the passive pickups in my Spector NS2A. Istallation was a breeze as with all EMG pickups with the solderless connectors ! These babies really awakened the beast within my Bass, It was like a whole new animal ! If your thinking about buying these, DON'T .... Just do it !! I promise you wont regret it !

These are definitely high quality. I've been playing them for a couple months and they haven't had any fault in them. The sound and internal grounding in them has stayed consistently functioning and has just as good tone as when they were first installed. The pick-ups come with everything you need to get the best tone out of them. I have them installed on my Ibanez gsr200fm and they sound terrific. I olay a lot of different styles and these fit all those in their own way. What can I say? The tone covers a lot of ground for a bass player. I like a tone that covers all the spectrums of bright, dark, and mid frequencies. I feel for a bass player looking to get the high, bright sound without having to loose any of the low, ballsy punch of the low end this covers that and does it well. These are hot pick-ups. You won't have to make extra efforts to get a strong sound even at the lightest touch on the fret-board. I play in a metal/blues sort of band so being precise is important for more complicated parts. I also like to do a lot of tapping where the majority of the tone of the song comes from consistent hammer-ons. These pickups cover that just right. As mentioned before you'll get the low punchy sound without loosing the clarity you get when setting the highs up high on your eq.
