I've used these for years in quite a few of my guitars. Always great tone and no ground hum. I've used them in my Les Pauls, a Dean V and a Strat.

I’ve put these in a few custom builds. These are THE pickup for heavy music. If you’re on the fence go ahead and do it. You won’t regret it. No soldering like the old days either. Anyone can install these.

Outstanding quality and value a real plus to the musician industry American music is the best quality products competitive pricing would highly recommend it to any musician or anybody starting out very easy installation instructions I have used these pick ups over and over in a lot of my guitars highly recommended American music supply and EMG has done it again

These pickups woke my Jackson King V from a dead sleep. There is such a difference in tone and notes. Whether it's on the clean channel, heavy distortion, or stoner fuzz these things let the notes ring through. What an upgrade!!

Truly an upgrade from my Seymour active pickups and since my Seymour’s we’re also active pickups which made the installation a plug and play saving time and money. These 81’s and 85’s have changed my tone and added more creativity to my soul... These are a must buy for sure!!

These were easy to install, look amazing and sound great! I bought them for an old Westbury standard I had sitting around, space was a little tight in the control cavity but it all fit in just right, simple easy instructions and a great upgrade for the old guitar!

The classic EMG 81/85 setup with solderless connectors, but this kit also has the long shaft volume and tone pots you will need if you install them in a Les Paul. Perfect as always.

I've been a passive humbucker user for a while and decided to go a different route with my Gibson Les Paul...I followed the tutorial installation video on the EMG website and viola!! Easy installation. They have a great overall sound...I play metal, Rock, Punk and similar types of songs. These pickups can pull it all off...I was a little afraid to turn my 2017 Les Paul Studio into a Frankenstein guitar but decided to purchase these and glad I did. I installed them myself, in about an hour, and after restringing my guitar, it was sounding awesome.
My pickups arrived in 3 days from placing my order and I will always order through American Music Supply because of the payment plans and quick delivery.
