Product Rating What is your opinion of this product? I have wanted a BB King Lucille for a long time. After BB King's recent passing, I figured I needed to get one before they went away. The first one I got had a defect in the headstock binding. The second one did not have that defect, but I think that Epiphone is pumping these out as fast as possible in order to cash in on BB King's death. Both guitars had issues that I have not had on an Epiphone before. The frets were not dressed. I had to sand and use steel wool on every fret. The pickguard had scratches on it, I was able to buff them out with a polishing paste. The "E" logo on the pickguard of both guitars was peeling up from the bottom. I have not tried to fix this yet. The set up on the guitar was WAY off. Neck not adjusted properly, bridge was way too high, intonation off by a long shot. I expected better from Epiphone. If you don't mind setting up the guitar from scratch, and having to deal with a few minor defects, the guitar sounds and plays great after a little work.

What is your opinion of this product? I bought this guitar just a few days after the passing of the great B.B. King. This guitar plays and sounds wonderfully. It is an absolute pleasure to play! Such a versatile guitar with the Varitone. Fair warning, though, it does take some volume out, but you can adjust for it. The frets were dressed quite nicely, no snags at all. The finish is top notch. Stays in tune well. The bridge has fine tuners that can be used, but I've had no trouble with the guitar staying in tune, so I haven't even had to use the fine tuners. If you can't afford the Gibson, but can spare for this, you won't be disappointed!

What is your opinion of this product? I've wanted this guitar forever but it was too expensive for my taste...Now that it's affordable. I finally have it and I'm not disappointed at all! It felt good in my hands the moment I picked it up and I didn't want to put it down! Major ups to Epiphone for this guitar!
