Its a high quality Chinese made acoustic guitar.Haven't had any issues. As time has passed I have upgraded nut, saddle and pins to Tusq and added a Martin Thinline pickup. If it was ever lost or damaged, I will replace next day and upgrade same way or maybe take the splurge on the Gibson model.

How has it stood up over time?
I bought mine locally 4 years ago. No issues, well except for 1 fret that a nice gentle hammer took care of.

Its a very nice replica of the classic.Epiphone should have a Masterbuilt version of the Dove.Someday I might justify the cost for the Gibson model. For the money this guitar is unbeatable for look, feel, quality and sound.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
To me my guitar has a get feel to it. Neck shape and nut width suit me and out of the 5 acoustics I have, I use this one the most. I do own more expensive guitars but this is the one that travels with me to local bars, lessons, neighbors and friends, beach, park etc. Sounds good and very bright when plugged in. The guitar feel and sound greatly surpasses its price range.

Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
The finish was great on guitar. Spruce top almost looked bookmatched but a close eye can tell its not.No sloppy glue on kerfing or bracing but you can tell these go together very quick at factory. The maple laminate back and sides look good. Has strap pins. Body has a thick high gloss polyurethane finish obviously to keep costs down. Fretwork work was great.Tuners are Grover which are great and pickgaurd looks very good but not as refined as the Gibson.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Action has always been great. I do my setups and just a very little sanding was needed at saddle when purchased new until upgraded.

Tone is very nice and bright, and even brighter with the new strings, maybe I will change the nut and pegs, maybe.

I was at first skeptical. How could a $300.00 guitar compare to one that costs nearly $3,000.00? Every review I read on the internet indicated that this guitar was far better than the price portrayed, so I thought I'd try it out--and so I ordered the Dove, the premium case, and a set of Gibson Acoustic strings from American Musical Supply. Well, the case arrived in three days from ordering. The guitar and strings arrived the next day. At first impression, I was pleased by the fit and finish--Beautiful Sitka Spruce Top, Maple back and sides, very nice hardware. The only thing I will change is the Nut, Saddle and Pins from the hard plastic ones furnished to some good TUSK or Bone ones from Stewart MacDonald. However, after changing the strings, I was pleasantly surprised to hear such a clear, clean, punchy sound coming from a three-hundred dollar guitar! It is now usually the first one I grab-even over my Martin D-15 which has been my fav for many years now!

Very nice right out of the box. I may lower the action a few thousandths when I change the saddle--maybe. The action is actually nearly perfect as-is.

You get the bright, punchy tone you would expect from Maple, with the warm, bell-like acoustics the Sitka Spruce Top provides. Think of the acoustic guitar sound in Marshall Tucker's "Can't you See"--that's pretty close to the tone you get (after a string change).

No flaws. Perfect fit and finish.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
All it needed, as I said earlier, was a good set of Strings. I expect changing the nut saddle and pins over to TUSK will make SOME improvement, but that is just a personal preference. Actually it sounds FANTASTIC with just the afforementioned string change.

This is my first guitar! I haven't quite gotten to play on her yet, but she is beautiful. Great quality two toned blonde. Very richly made! The shipping map said I would receive the package in 1-2 days. My order was at my door less than 24 hours after placing the order online! WOW!!!! There was a checklist inside of the processes to be completed before the guitar was shipped out! Dedication!
