General What is your overall opinion of this product? This is a nice guitar and a bargain for the money. The pick ups are lively and you can coax some nice tones from this axe. Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? Sounds good for rock but cleans up pretty well if you turn it down and kick off the distortion. Feel Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The neck feels okay...nothing great, but it's not a $4000 guitar so that's something to keep in mind Tone How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin? Pick ups, as mentioned above are good. I'm only playing through a Johnson m50 combo amp and a Line 6 Spyder jam amp and it's got a good tone. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I love the color but the stain was not really uniform. If you look at the picture shown, on the inside of the cutaways you can see some of the lack of color. This was a bit disappointing but in no way a deal breaker. It's still a great looking guitar. Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? Very much worth the money and the limited edition on this color made it impossible to pass up. Playability How was the action out of the box? The action was alright. If I was going to use it often, I'd probably get a complete set up with new strings.
good bang for the buck.

General What is your overall opinion of this product? the set up is passable, the finish does have a few flaws on the headstock binding, but it is hardly noticeable. I've owened an Gibson SG, and bowed out buying the stripped down Gibson for the epi. Way more bang for the buck with the epi, and the color and hardware make it easy to look at. Feel Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The neck is a club as compared to the typical SG. More of a 50's profile les Paul neck. Tone How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin? Pick ups sound good. Better than burstbuckers or the 498 or 490 Gibson pickups. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Paint is nice. Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? Definatly should be an 800 to 1000 dollar guitar. Excellent value. Playability How was the action out of the box? Action was good out of the box, frets dressed nice, no sharp edges off the binding.
