good bang for the buck.

What is your overall opinion of this product?
the set up is passable, the finish does have a few flaws on the headstock binding, but it is hardly noticeable. I've owened an Gibson SG, and bowed out buying the stripped down Gibson for the epi. Way more bang for the buck with the epi, and the color and hardware make it easy to look at.
Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The neck is a club as compared to the typical SG. More of a 50's profile les Paul neck.
How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin?
Pick ups sound good. Better than burstbuckers or the 498 or 490 Gibson pickups.
How did the stain or paint job look?
Paint is nice.
Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range?
Definatly should be an 800 to 1000 dollar guitar. Excellent value.
How was the action out of the box?
Action was good out of the box, frets dressed nice, no sharp edges off the binding.
