Product Rating Product Review I absolutely love this guitar. I'm not a professional musician by any means, so I couldn't justify the huge price jump for a Gibson. However, this Epi doesn't disappoint. I don't use the coil tapping much, but it's a nice feature. It needed some minor setup adjustments, but was quickly up and running to my liking.

Plays smooth as butter and sounds freaking awesome. Not to mention it's a beautiful looking guitar. This is my 3rd Les Paul and has become my new favorite.

Product Review This is the only guitar I’ve ever bought that can walk the walk and talk the talk. First off, it is a beauty to behold and plays as smooth as butter melting off of a hot biscuit. The tones you can achieve with this guitar are phenomenal. I’ve never owned a more versatile instrument. This thing can do it all and do it better than most. If you are on the fence just get it!! You won’t be disappointed.

Product Review I’ve owned many Gibson Les Pauls, and man, none of them will ever compare to the Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro. That is no exaggeration! The build is phenomenal; the stock pickups are beyond the quality I thought I’d be getting, and they’re so versatile - from classic, to math rock, and to doom and death metal. It’s been a while since I’ve picked up a guitar I could actually create a bond with, and this one right here, this is the one. I definitely recommend this. Best part is - you don’t have to pay over $2000 for a Gibson Les Paul, when this one right here does it even better. Happy rockin’, y’all!

Product Review I love this guitar. To date, it is the nicest, most expensive guitar I have ever owned, so I cant compare it to a $2000 Gibson, but I also dont know why I would. I'm still a beginner guitar player, although I have been playing for a year now. Compared to my old Epiphone Gibson model, the sound is so much better. Deep, rich, clear tones. It feels solid in my hands and playing it is very nice and easy. I really like the stock strings. Which may seem normal except, I have changed strings on all of my prior guitars. I've owned a Laguna, Epiphone, a Yamaha, and a cheap dreadnought from the pawn shop. Last thing I can think to mention is the looks. It's a beauty. I keep staring at it mounted on my wall every time I pass by. I am very glad I purchased it, it was well worth the money.

Product Review I can say this Guitar is very approachable to musical situations, This Les Paul can play Heavy metal, Punk, Rock, Country, Finnish Folk, you name it this thing along with your distinguishable musical aptitude can shape and play it! For me as a guitarist playing the slim taper d neck has been great to adapt to this Les Paul! The mahogany neck is very warm and playable, As soon I opened the box it was love at first play and sight! The 22 fret neck is nice and big so those Jumbo frets come in great deal when playing chunky licks! The pickups are always preferences in my opinion, The Pickups in general sound great and Fat, but a bit too chunky for my taste and the coil split covers the single pickup sound nicely! Though I changed the pickups I's be more than happy to stay with the stock pickups, plus the gold pickups are always great! So in general the pickups can cover a lot of musical ground! It can get you lots of mileage. Epiphone won't let you down!

Product Review Well as long as I have been playing , the Gibson Les Paul was always the dream guitar I wanted , after having played a few older models I knew I wanted on . Well I have tried a few newer ones and was very disappointed at performance and quality of workmanship. So I decided to find out some more history on them after having found that it was actually a very little known fact that the first of them were built at an epiphone plant I decided to see what kind of workmanship they were putting into their line of les Paul’s . I am and was amazed at the quality and the level of pride they have taken ,especially in this particular guitar. I am inspired every time I pick this instrument up . Wow what a nice product . Thanks epiphone for a job well done , keep it up .

Product Review I have been wanting a Les Paul to complete my recording arsenal for a long time. Unfortunately, Gibsons have always been out of my budget. When I saw this Epiphone beauty, I couldn't believe how affordable it was. It was an impulse buy, and probably one of the best ones I have ever had. The tone goes from clean to mean with no problem, and its playability is right up there with the most expensive LP models. The ability to tap the coils as well as reverse the phase with the pull of a knob make this an incredibly versatile instrument in the studio (and stage as well, I imagine). If you have always wanted a Les Paul but were afraid of the price, the Les Paul Custom Pro has everything you could want and more. On an aesthetic note, the gold hardware and yellowed binding are nice touches and give it a great vintage look. My friends are always impressed with it and a few have gone on to purchase their own after checking mine out. It quickly became one of my top three "Go-To's" when I want to write, record, or just play. I highly recommend it to anyone reading this that is debating on whether or not to purchase their own. You will not regret leaving this site with an order confirmation sitting in your inbox.

Product Review I've been looking for a guitar for a few years now that I can get a nice, aggressive, power packed tone in a distortion channel from a guitar while also having the ability to switch to an almost acoustic clean with nothing but absolute clarity and sustain. The Epiphone Custom Les Paul Pro is exactly what I have been looking for. I can experiment all I want with different pick up combinations and I can do whatever I want with it. I already have a white custom pro, just need a black one so i can have a more consistent tone as i'm changing tunings for live shows. the only thing I would change about this guitar is sanding down the neck so your hand doesn't stick to the gloss, sanding down where the neck meets the body for easier access to the higher notes, and having it come equipped with lock in tuners (the ones where you do not need to wind the string.) I rate it 9/10.

I love the pickup coil splitting one second your putting out the blistering sound of a pair of humbucker pick ups and with a simple pull of the volume control you have the sweet sound of a fender. this is truly a great guitar

Product Review I love this guitar. The feel, balance, and sound are truly awesome. I bought this model for the functionality it offered with coil splitting of both Humbuckers and the phase switch on the neck pick-up. All extras that come on this model. I was going to pull the trigger on the Frampton Black Beauty, but it didn't offer any of these. As for the sound, wow! Clean, crisp, bright and powerful. The Probucker 2 and Probucker 3 PAF's really deliver. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a Les Paul but either don't have $2G or have a hard time justifying that expense for a true Gibson. By no means am I knocking Gubson...I will own a couple of them before my time here is done, just when my playing ability grows into one.

Product Review The guitar arrived in good order, & the setup was almost spot on. The frets were rougher than I liked, but a good polishing solved that problem. It's really solid; fit & finish look excellent, and the tuning is really stable. The ProBuckers sound great, & the phase switching is icing on the cake; somewhat muted but very Peter Green-ish. It comes w/ 10's which I changed to some Elixir Nanoweb 9's, and it plays now as well as any Gibson I've ever played, including the SG Standard I had years ago. I would've given it 5 stars, but the hour plus that it took to smooth out the frets warrants a star...

No problems here like others have dealt with and only took three days to arrive. That's all hope you are encouraged to get one, well worth the money.

Product Review This guitar has the looks, feel, and sound of a much more expensive instrument. The workmanship is flawless, it plays and sounds amazing ! BTW, AMS's service is second to none.

Product Review Great guitar.pleasantly surprised by the action and playability right out of the box. ONly very minimal adjustments needed. Honestly, this plays just as well as the one gibson les paul I've owned. It actually feels a little better balanced than that guitar. As an added bonus, the item that was shipped to me included a phase shifting pot in addition to the coil taps. Excellent sounding guitar for the price... can't beat it.

Product Review This is my second Epiphone Les Paul. I love the heavy, non-weight relieved body and neck. The coil tapping is a nice option to have available. Sounds great unplugged too, naturally sustains. I highly recommend this particular custom Les Paul (mine is the alpine white) because it offers so many high end features. I have had the opportunity to play the Gibson version of this instrument and I must honestly say that the Epiphone feels and plays just as well as the Gibson. Personally, I'm extremely happy with this Epiphone Les Paul. The Gibson counterpart is almost $4,000, this one is a fraction of that cost. I also highly recommend the hard shell case with it to keep it protected. A lot of Les Paul for the price! :-)

Product Review I was nervous about making this purchase as I had read mixed reviews about the quality and playability of this guitar, I have had many guitars from cheap to several thousand dollars and this guitar plays just as good as any I have owned, the action was perfect out of the box, the coil tapping and the phase switching is a really nice touch it lets you play just about any type of music you want to, it has nice sustain and is easy to play, the only thing i could find wrong with it is there is a slight buzz on the 5th fret on the 2nd string that a little tweaking should take care of. best guitar in its price range

Product Review I give this a two overall. A near beginner might be thrilled with this guitar. However, one major issue with this instrument cannot be fixed. It completely loses sustain on the first three strings between the fifteenth and twentieth frets. Two of the bridge saddle I had to regroove the first and second bridge saddle due to bridge/string rattle from the 15th to 19 frets on the first two strings, most noticed on the second. I haven't done a fret job on it yet, but it could use one. Well...... The neck shape is wonderful. It has a soft D shape neck, a little thicker than say, a Charvel or Jackson and not quite as wide. it fits my hand about as well or better than most guitars I own/have owned. I cant say too much about the pickups. Ive replaced the pups in my other guitars with Duncan Distortions. So, the pickups in this were a little brighter with less low end and not as hot, but they still sound okay. just depends on what you"re looking for. Beautiful piece of firewood. The paint, binding, inlay work, neck joint and gold hardware were flawless. Not at all. I spent less money on a loosely comparable Ibanez, even after replacing the pups and got a far superior instrument. It was fair. I tweaked the neck and adjusted the bridge and it played much better.

Product Review Highly favorable and well worth the money. I consider the Custom Pro to be the top of the Epiphone Les Paul line. The binding stripes are painted on and noticeable as such in a few spots, but the outer edge is real binding. The fit and finish is top notch inside and out. Pop the back cover to check out the wiring and you'll find it was not simply thrown together...I have a Epi LP Studio where the wiring was not that well put together. There is a feeling of quality when holding this guitar. Heavy but in a good way. It feels solid and sustains for days. The neck is slimmer than I'd like as I have big hands and need a thick chunky neck. The ProBucker pickups are really nice although I need more time playing through a tube amp at loud volumes to get a better idea. A capacitor swap with orange drops or paper in oils is a necessity. If Epiphone would simply upgrade their caps to orange drops at a minimum it wouldn't add much to the cost but would do wonders for the out-of-the-box experience. Especially in the Custom. Why not? The little ceramics they install have got to go. The coil taps are a nice option to have but you won't get single coil sound. Nice white color all around. I love the way it looks. Great value for the money. It feels solid and is a definite keeper. I doubt I'll upgrade the pickups, but may go for new CTS pots when I swap out the caps. With a few small upgrades this thing is going to be a monster. I had to adjust the truss rod a few turns, make a few adjustments to the saddles and adjust the pickup heights to get her where she needed to be.

Your general opinion of this product. This is my first Les Paul so I think there was a getting use to the feel type learning curve. (Up until now I've mostly owned Telecasters and Strats, Schecter PT and the like.) The Gibson name and sticker price has always scared me off. That's when I decided an Epi might be just the right balance between price and quality. Boy was that right! throw on top of that, that I bought it Scratch and Dent, and I absolutely LOVE this buy. I couldn't recommend it more. As I said above, I bought it as a "Scratch & Dent" model. I defy anyone to find ANY scratches or dents in this guitar. My son fond what he thought might have been a slight scuff mark on the side of the head, but a little buff with my polishing cloth and, No more scuff. Otherwise, it seems to be an incredibly solid guitar. From the bindings, to the gold tuners this guitar combines its beauty with its solid construction. I ended up getting the white version but I'm sure I would have been just as happy either way. As also stated above, since this was my first LP there's a bit of a learning curve, but I have a very heavy '82 Custom Schecter PT that I find it very similar to both in feel and playability. The one thing I can say is that I'm really enjoying getting used to it. I've really been having fun playing my Epi through my Line 6 Flextone II combo amp. Seeing all the different sounds I can get out of the two of them has really been enjoyable. The action has really been great. It was very easy to get up to speed on this guitar. I can't say enough about this guitars physical attributes. You can really tell that the finish on this one is nice and thick and it all the gold hardware is great. Well, it's new but so far so good.

Your general opinion of this product. I love les pauls. The last couple epi's had Gibson pickups. When i bought this guitar, I was thing of changing out the pickups to Gibson burstbuckers. Then it came. I opened it up, a quick adjustment, and I've changed my mind. I truely sounds great. This is a grade A quality guitar. I have, I believe 6 or 7 les pauls. This is a great les paul. I love the heavyness of a les paul. I love the thick, old school shaped neck. It is a fast, playable guitar right out of the box.I'm an old guy, eyes not that great, but, the black speed knobs with white numbers, its no problem at all. Control knobs within a fingers reach. Like a Gibson les paul. The tone is wnderful. Wheather playing straight thru an amp, or going thru my pedals, it sounds GREAT!! It needed a slight neck adjustment and thats all.Ilike the action at 4/64th's across the board at the 12th fret, and 0.14 across the first fret. Black, like this guitar brand new looks flawless. I use a bit of carnauba polish on it to keep it looking new.Its a beautiful looking guitar. I now have 3 "customs". One new, this one and 2 others. Ithought the outhers looked sexy. Now, the new black paint , it can't be beat.

The intonation was out just a bit. Very minor adjustment on the saddles and now it plays very good. Action was a bit high but after a minor bridge adjustment, plays like the high dollar Gibson model. Mine actually looks better than the pic. I have the wine red with the gold hardware. Couldn't believe how good it looked when I opened the box. WOW

Great value from Epiphone with a lot of tonal variety Your general opinion of this product. Beautiful looking guitar. Can stop looking at it hanging on my wall. Heavy guitar as to be expected which creates the great tone and sustain. Thick full tone with the humbuckers with some thinner spanky single coil tones when using the coil taps. 9/10 pretty tight overall. Factory setup medium action with very minor buzzing; which is just fine on an electric guitar.

Very well made. It's the first Epiphone I might leave unaltered! So far so good - tuning very stable. Pots work great. Your general opinion of this product. Very glad I bought it. I needed another LP like I needed a hole in my head, but the sound and feel are so great that this has become my main go to guitar now. Plus she's so darn pretty! I normally gut my Epiphones, but like I mentioned before, I don't see the need to do so here. It feels like a Paul! But that's why I like them! The sound is great. These pickups sound just as good as the Burstbuckers in one of my other LP's. And the coil split is a nice addition. The finish is beautiful - just blows me away. Everyone who sees it for the first time are in awe and want to pick it up! A very clean, rosy wine red color. Nice action - I haven't even changed the strings yet!

this guitar is built very well...i cannot find anything wrong with it.. i have owned mine for 9 months and have not had any problems Your general opinion of this product. this is a very excellent instrument..the quality and workmanship are flawless and the tone is over the top it has a great feel and i enjoy playing it..the slim taper neck is fast and burnin up the frets are no problem..as far as heavy..well you definitely know its there..its a guitar that you easily become one with... as far as the tone..the coil tapping is amazing..you can get crunchy..clean..mellow..sweet...well you get the idea.. fantastic...i left it setting on a stand for 3 days before i played it...i didn't want to scratch it but now i play it every day and wash my hands,no belt buckles or shirts with buttons when i play... now that's a story in its self..had a bad buz 5th and 6th strings at the 3rd fret..but i put new strings Gibson Reissues, flipped the saddles and that took care of the problem.

The guitar holds its tune very well. The electronics appear to be high quality and the pickups sound amazing. I've had it for 3 weeks now and once the strings were broken in, it stays in tune, even with aggressive playing Your general opinion of this product. I'd buy another one of these in a heartbeat. Honestly I was on the fence about sending it back and getting a Gibson V just for the Gibson name. But after playing it, I quickly changed my mind. One note, it is very heavy though. The guitar is solid and when I say solid I mean heavy. The neck is fast and I feel I'm a better player playing this guitar. Even after having top end PRS, Gibson, Peavey Wolfgangs, etc. The tone is thick and rich and not muddy at all. The pickups go from a great blues sound to a thick metal. Paint looks great, no flaws. Action is low out of the box. No complaints at all.

very well built,,,i found no flaws in the finish or workmanship...this thing is absolutly beautiful it just came off the fedex truck Your general opinion of this product. i was realy worried because of the bad stories ive read about epi's...but i decided to take a chance...i figured that if Ace..Joe Bonamassa..Chet Atkins..and the list goes on,,,put thier name on an epi, then it would be a good product. im glad i took the chance. i havent plugged it in yet..but the neck feels great..easy to fret and it doesn't feel like your hand is in a vise still not plugged in yet but cant wait flawless frett buzz A string but slight adjustment on saddle will fix that
