Will Napier from Hazard, Kentucky, Perry
Quality:
I've had it since it came out! NOTHING can stand in this things way! I've had roadies bump it into crap, been knocked off of amps by drummers and all kinds of crap! Plays perfect! Still my #1 guitar by far!
Sound:
It's a les paul on steroids when it's cranked. Almost if not better than an ESP or Dean ever thought of being. Then again the clean is almost acoustic and great for alternative and grunge. Best giutar for someone who plays alot of styles or may change theirs over time (and guys, WE DO and you know it.)
Reliability:
Nothing has ever went wrong with it and I've put it through h*ll and back.
Overall:
Best guitar out there especially for the money.
Playability and Feel:
Really light due to the chambered body and absolutely SMOOTH neck due to the satin finish! I don't know why anyone would want ANY other finish on the neck of their guitar. Also the neck seems to be thinner than most les pauls so it doesn't feel so much like a baseball bat, but it's thick enough that it doesn't play like a jackson cheap-o (not that the more expensive jacksons aren't awesome!)
Tone:
Dark, deep tone. Pickups were hot right out of the box. I thought I would have to replace them, but no! I thought about EMGs but I love the sound too much to mess with.
Finish:
Just one word. Beautiful!
Action:
Set up perfect for everything I've ever threw at it. Nothing I've played has ever been this close to perfect on every style I've played on it.

This is the best Epi I've ever played or owned, and hangs with my '79 gibson Les Paul. Never had a durability complaint with Epi's only issues were normal wear from get on them hard playing every night.
Sound:
If you work the controls right, spend time on this it pays off, ask any player that you see working his axe right and they'll tell you the same. I,ve milked some sweet sounds from this babe in the first night with it. don't just turn all 4 controls to 10 and expect the holy grail of tone to greet yor ears.
Reliability:
Ive owned gigs and epi's both and I know that this will be a trusty worthy companion for years to come.
Overall:
Having owned, played and professionlay worked on repair set up of numerous guitars for 32 years of my 43 years onearth this guitar rates right up there with the best.
Playability and Feel:
Having played pauls my whole life and working back breaking jobs, the lighter weight is a blessing. I've red of balance issues due to the lighter body, but didn't find it that noticeable as say V or sg. Thank God I dont have to sand the neck to that satin finish feel. My favorite Les Paul neck shape. and the controls are right on, they are even the full size pots, not those cheap one you gotta change out on most foriegn axes.
Tone:
Work the controls and you'll get solid Les Paul tones. from that in your face rock attitude to sweet melt her pants off tones.
Finish:
Pardon the french but f***** excellent dude.
Action:
The guitar was dmn near in tune out of the box. This tells me someone took some time to check it out. What a set up plays like an old friend that knows me. However I will have to make some adjustments when I restring to my prefered heavy strings and full step down tuning, but that goes without saying to any knowledgable player.

The best 'Paul' without paying thousands!
Quality:
This guitar is extremely well made, everything is order, and it's just like the picture!
Reliability:
Well, I just got it a few days ago, so I can't say how reliable it will be, but out of the box, it seems really sturdy.
Overall:
Like I said, it looks just like the picture, and, come on, IT'S A LES PAUL! All Paul's, from my experience, are well made and great sounding, except of course the Special II, but c'mon, that's a childs toy. ;]
Playability and Feel:
The neck is extremely fast, and the ultra is really lightweight [It feels like only about 5 pounds, very light for a Les Paul]. The controls placing on the guitar is a godsend, because I've had guitars that I couldn't easily reach the controls of, these I can adjust easily while playing!
Tone:
A nice, smooth, warm tone, that can be instantly switched to a high treble with the flip of a switch. I need effects pedals to do that on my other guitars! Pickups were good, but I think I might upgrade, but if I had to, staying with the stock pickups wouldn't be much of a problem for me.
Finish:
The paintjob was beautiful. It was one of thes guitars that I looked at and thought 'How the heck can they make a guitar look like that?'
Action:
It is such a great playing guitar. It has already topped all of my others, and I have Fenders, an Ibanez, a Dean, and even a Paul Reed Smith [which cost MUCH more than this].

My first non-Fender in 36 years.
Quality:
Exceptionally well made for the price. I wish it was made in America. This is my first non USA made guitar in 36 years.
Sound:
The sound is what I was looking for being a single coil player all my life. Sounds pretty good for inexpensive pickups. I'll probably replace them as I am a tinkerer.
Reliability:
Just got it. The quality seems to be there, I see no reason I won't have it for many years.
Overall:
I have played Fender guitars for 36 of my 45 years. I decided to buy a guitar for slide and choose an Epi figuring I'd replace it with a real Les Paul as my slide playing progresses. Not sure I'll need a "better" Les Paul as the quality is much better than expected especially for the price. I'm surprised to say I really like it.
Playability and Feel:
Plays nice. I normally play chunky neck Strats and this neck feels similar but a bit narrow for my taste. It's a Les Paul that pretty much speaks for all.
Tone:
Definitely a different sound than my Strats, a good different. Sustain is incredible a glued in neck makes a big difference. It has that Les Paul rock and roll sound, sounds great through my Blues Jr. with high gain OD.
Finish:
Flawless. And I looked closely.
Action:
It was setup pretty good out of the box. I had to do a little tweaking because I use big strings 12-58's

It was like an Artist Painted it!

A NEW ICON IS HERE!!
Quality:
As good as any Gibson I have ever played. Maybe Better.Sometimes I think,MUCH better.
Sound:
Really grabbin' tone from the lowest strings to the high register it will sing or growl or do just about anything you want it to.
Reliability:
Only had it for a ew weeks,so,time will tell...no doubt will last a lifetime. That's how long I plan to have it!
Overall:
I do believe we have a phenom in our greedy little mits! a superior electric guitar in many ways uncounted.
Playability and Feel:
Light as a feather'cause of the routing and the neck leaves NOTHING to be desired. It's just perfect.
Tone:
These pickups are very similar to P.A.F.'s Good for all things and kinds of music.Very Musical sounding!
Finish:
The Heritage Cherry is my favorite anyways, flawless except for a little tiny paint drop on the headstock. So small you'd have to have it pointed out to you!
Action:
Low E A+D strings buzzed like crazy all up+down the neck, but w/the bridge it was too easy to set it up nice and proper! As me friends in Ireland say!
Skill Level:
Pro-Rock Star

Quality:
Seems like it was made very well. No issues out of the box like I had before with an EPI.
Sound:
I play 70's and 80's rock and the tone is right on. The pickups surprised me. I thought I would need to replace them with duncans but right now I don't see the need. They scream. All it took was playing with the knobs and I found the perfect sound.
Reliability:
The construction is great, it seems. I only owned it for 2 weeks now but don't expect any problems.
Overall:
After a bad experience with EPI I almost didn't buy another one but I glad I bought this AXE. It plays as good as my Gibson LP, which cost a ot more money.
Playability and Feel:
The weight is so light compared to my Gibson or my Schecter. The neck is super fast. I'm making this my primary AXE when I play gigs.
Tone:
Tone is perfect for my style. The pickups are hot which surprised me. I thought I would have to replace them straight out of the box but now I can wait till I wear them out.
Finish:
Excellent. The actual product looks better than the picture.
Action:
The action was perfect out of the box for my playing style. I didn't need to adjust anything.
