Product Review I bought this for my brother as we are lifelong musicians, he wanted something affordable but not too fancy because he wants to mod it and I will have t say if ur looking at this and pondering should I?? Then I’d say yes, yes u should! Tone quality is fanstastic, really bluesy and got nice harmonics, excellent choice to start with or even start a project with!! Remarkable!!

Product Review I bought this guitar for my grandson who is 11 years old. He took some lessons with it and now loves to play it. He says it was awkward at first but after working at it awhile he found he could even barre cord it. I have played it as well and it is very easy to play. It sounds great for what it is as a beginner guitar and had no issues with the character of the tone. The finish is decent but for this price I wasn't looking for a great finish I was looking for a beginner guitar that met my requirements. Sounds good and easy to play. This Epi fits those requirements in spades. AMS was great with a quick ship direct to my grandson with the package with his name on it. Also the payment plan Rock Star credit only provided by AMS was a great option for me with this purchase. It has been over a year for me writing this review but having had this guitar this long and what I say here, it bodes well for the purchase.

Product Review This guitar has horrible tuners.Fret wire was very good. No sharp fret ends and frets are level. The neck has a medium feel to it, not large and not small with a soft "C" shape less rounded than a typical C but not like those thin flat back neck profiles either. Its a nice neck. Pickups are decent and plenty good enough for those who aren't very specific about their sound. The finish is very unique and not sticky (great for necks). There is zero sheen. It is flat. But I like the uniqueness and it seems like it may be pretty durable for a flat finish. For the cost, it is worth every penny. Install a nice Tonepros T3BT bridge, better tuners and replace the nut with a Graphtech 6061 and 100 dollars later, you have a guitar that will play, sound and stay in tune as good as guitars that are in the 1k price range and the guitar just has a cool look to it. I always like to plug AMS because they deserve it. They have great purchasing plan options, great customer service and they carry pretty much everything. I've been buying from them for a long time.

Product Review A while ago, I started coming across videos and posts about this guitar and the finish of the guitar really caught my eye. I have a couple of Les Paul guitars already, but none of them have a flat finish where you can see the wood grain like this. And for the price, I didn't think it sounded bad either. So I decided to get one and I am SO happy that I did! The only changes I've made are a change of strings (which I do on every guitar anyway) and tuners. The tuners it came with were fine, they didn't HAVE to be changed, it's just a personal preference thing. I have played guitar for nearly 25 years and have guitars much more expensive than this, but this really has become one of my favorites to play. There's just something about it that I love and, in most cases, is the one I pick up when I want to play. I've been very, very happy with it and I would highly recommend it to anyone. If you're a beginner, it's a great, lightweight, easy guitar to play. And if you're experienced, it's still fun to piddle around on. I don't know if they're all like this or I just got lucky, but I am very pleased and even considering buying a second one in another color. Five stars!

Product Review The setup out of the box was actually pretty good,no sharp frets, action was pretty good, I changed out the strings and tuned it, and the string height was still perfect so that was awesome. I actually had really low expectations given the price point, and I had previously loved my old Ibanez so I figured this wouldn't compare, but it was close enough to the model that I had my eye on, that I would go for this one since it was available and the other one was back ordered. Honestly, I got lucky that I went for this one instead. I almost didn't. This guitar is so comfortable to play, it's LP style, but super light. I love the maple finish, and the satin finish on the neck makes it super comfortable moving around on the neck. The guitar sounds great, it requires tuning pretty often but thats great for learning, and someday I'll get locking tuners. I had low expectations but I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Product Review I recently retired and wanted to relearn the guitar, I was looking for a low cost LP style that wouldn’t go out of tune every time I played. Read the reviews on all the sites and chose this one. Out of the box it tuned up easily and has pretty much stayed that way. It has a nice thin neck and is easy to play. All the electronics work as expected. Thanks to American Musical for extremely fast shipping and although the outer box was pretty banged up the Epiphone box was in perfect shape.

Product Review First off I want to get the fact out of the way that AMS is the only place I buy musical instruments anymore. There are many reasons but best of all they are good people who put the customer at the front of what they do. So if I was asked I will tell you to buy from AMS. Now to the guitar. This Epiphone Les Paul I purchased for my 11 year old grandson and he loves it. He is a beginner just took his 4th lesson this week and he can already chord it to play a song he likes. It is built solid and the humbuckers are ceramic 8 magnets so they have that heavy feel for great chorus and can also put out the bite for clean leads. He told me the neck feels good and his small hands can manage the instrument pretty well. I took a good look at the guitar when he got it and the only thing I did was tune it for him and as I played it I felt comfortable with the feel and the sound and knew I made a good buy. The only thing I am going to do is put a set of nickel plated Super Slinkys on for him 9-42. I think it will even make the feel better for him as well. Overall I am happy with this purchase because this guitar will serve my grandson well over his guitar journey. Just as a caveat to this review. I am an Epiphone loyalist. I have been buying Epiphone products for over 50 years and nothing against other makers of who I have purchased a few, I keep going back to Epiphone for the quality and price you can't beat the deal. So when I found myself looking to buy a guitar for my grandson, the manufacturer choice was already made. I just had to find a model that would suit his purpose.

Product Review I bought this guitar for my son taking lessons in school. Not sure how serious he is about playing guitar and he was afraid to damage any of mine. I AM SHOCKED, The neck was darn near straight, fret edges good, action a tad bit high and the strings suck. So new strings and lower the action and I am enjoying playing it. And yes I have nice guitars. This is not bad. Would make a nice guitar to leave out and if the dog knocked it over I would not be that mad. Even the pickups sound good for the price I paid. Thanks

Product Review This is quite a nice guitar! I did not know that Epiphone was a Gibson company but you really notice in the build of the machine. I've only ever owned cheap (read sub-$200) units before and never expected the quality that I would get from this gitbox. I think the neck and the fretboard are really responsive and I think I've been getting really good tones from the axe. One thing I don't like is that it doesn't come with a whammy bar, but I think that is an issue across all spank planks made by Epiphone. It seems like this would be a great fiddle for rhythm but not so awesome for lead, but it is still a really fun twang harp to slap around. I've had this six string sword for about two weeks and I think it is absolutely worth the money and meets my expectations. If you are looking for a great rig for playing rhythm and you don't want to spend more than 200 clams, this might just be for you!

Product Review I am new to electric guitar, so just wanted a decent quality instrument I could mess around with for a while and figure out how serious I want to get with it. I am very happy with this Epiphone Les Paul purchase. All I had to do was open the box, tune it, and start playing. It feels very playable and I really like the natural wood walnut color. I can always upgrade later if I want to, but for now, I am quite happy with this guitar!

Product Review Bought this nice little Epi Les Paul for my grandson so he would have a good guitar to learn on. After reading other buyers reviews I figured this was a good choice. This guitar exceeded my expectations. It came pretty well setup and the neck and fret work were much nicer then I expected.I lowered the action just a bit and checked the intonation and that was it. The finish and all the hardware are all fine for a guitar at this price.Wish I had one this nice when I started playing years ago. By the way AMS got it to us quick and at the best price.

Product Review First of all great service from AMS!Now on to the guitar. I have owned or own several Epiphones over the years (SG,Pauls, etc.)and all have been decent players and great value. This particular one however needed a fair amount of work to make playable. No problem having to tune and do some light fret work, but the frets on this one were terrible.Had to spend a fair amount of time filing to be able to play without ripping up my fingers. Additionally there was a lot off fret buzz on first fret.Did some adjustments and cleared up pretty much. I think QC is mostly to blame here. Still recommend. Epiphone overall the last few years has been consistently putting out great product! Just luck of the draw on this one I guess.

Took it to my local store for setup and new strings (DR Pure Blues) 10-46 Plays as well as an Epiphone LP at 3X's the price. I've had this guitar for over a month and I play it daily. No buzz or hum, tuners are tight all of the knobs and the switch are solid this guitar will not disappoint. If you want a Les Paul style that won't break the bank, this is it and at 5 easy payments it's a must for the arsenal.

Product Review After taking a few years off and selling all my equipment I’ve began to slowly piece together new gear. Being as I’m not totally sure how much time I can allocate to playing I’ve tried to skew on the cheaper side of gear. I settled on the Epiphone LP special VE due to its price and good reviews. So far I have not been disappointed. Coming from a Fender California strat I’m enjoying the crunch from the humbuckers that I missed with the start. Action is very playable, smooth runs and it looks great. My first foray into the world of Lea Paul’s and I feel like I’ll keep on this path.

Product Review I finally have a new guitar that is perfect for my needs. The sound I get out of this axe is exactly what my songs needed. But, sometimes like everything, there are problems. These might not be problems to some of you, but to me they were. First, new strings. The ones that come with the guitar were just ok. The G string wouldn't stay in tune. Fixed with new strings, and made the sound brighter and gave my songs the punch they needed. Second is the weight. Not worth knocking the review down from a 5 stars, but thought it should be mentioned. I got used to it after about hour of playing. This would be a great guitar for an upgrade for a beginner.

Product Review Vintage Burst, EXCELLENT WORKMANSHIP! Fit and Finish, top notch! Fretwork, excellent with minor finishing touches needed to make perfect. And I do mean "minor". The tonal character and quality of the output is ASTOUNDING! Again, somewhere between a horn and a synthesizer just like the VE SG that I reviewed earlier today. These guitars perform WELL BEYOND there pricepoint and are EACH UNIQUE! These PLANK Guitars are ALWAYS going to be different sounding, more or less resonance, sustain, natural reverb, etc... The one that I received is truly a TOP NOTCH INSTRUMENT!

Product Review I've owned too many guitars to count, from expensive Les Pauls to cheap Danelectros. I periodically buy an inexpensive guitar because I like the way it looks. Almost all the cheap ones have tuning problems and/or frets that stick out past the neck or don't sound very good. This Epiphone, however, is stellar. It is beautiful, is easy to play, and sounds great. I would not hesitate to use it at a gig. I've never been a fan of the dual volume and tone controls on my Les Pauls and prefer a single volume control so this guitar suits me well. I bought the cherry finish and am tempted to also buy the cherry sunburst model as well. I highly recommend this guitar to any level of player... I've been playing guitar for 56 years and have owned scads of them. I really, really like this one and the price vs quality is outstanding.

Product Review Amazing price for a guitar this sweet. NOT just for beginners. I love the fast action neck, tuners hold strings in tune, low action, NO fret buzz anywhere. The frets had no sharp edges. The humbuckers do the trick. OK - so you don't have dual volume and tone controls, but this Les Paul will work on stage, as a go to practice guitar to keep handy or even a great base for a project if you want to make it a project guitar and swap out the humbuckers,... You cannot go wrong for price. Experienced or newbies will get a lot of good use with this beautiful Epiphone. I got the Walnut and love it but any color would be gorgeous. Satin finish, no body binding and of course, no nitrocellulose finish - so a great hardworking guitar that will make your day and not hurt your wallet.

Product Review I got this guitar it's appearance alone. Surprise! It is one great guitar for the price. Out of the box I only had to tune it. Intonation was right on. The tone is great. Since I got it I have been playing more than my other guitars.

Product Review Got this one in TV yellow with a SDOTD price! Couldn't be happier for that impulse decision to buy! I have been playing for a long time, been in quite a few bands, and have done session work and teaching. The neck is solid as a rock, the frets were polished beautifully, the pickups are second to none sound and tone wise. Clear, warm, and really sustain well when you push it through your favorite combo or stack! The finish was flawless, the tuners work as they should, and the wrap around bridge adds to the character and sound of the guitar. Light weight with plenty of mojo. Great Blues guitar, as well as rock.

Product Review First I will rant about AMS. Call in the order. Two days later the Fed Ex dude is knocking on the door. The Epi Les Paul Special VE Faded Red. Absolutely nothing wrong. I fell in love with it straight from the gate. This Epi is beautiful. All of you players out there know when you first pick up your new guitar if it is a dog or not. Believe me. It's like buying a car you really dig and keep looking out your window out into the parking lot thinking, Wow I got a great deal. Epiphone is making a big run. If you know anything about the history then you should appreciate the renaissance The pups are insane. I'm playing with the volume knob set at 3 and my champ 20 set at the same set and the neighbors are freaking out. Can't wait to get to my practice place and crank it up.
