Hi Folks,
Nothing can explain my feelings about this guitar, other than "it's only a Dream" but it's not! I've written a lengthy Review for the LP Guitar CASE by mistake, so AMS and YOU all should look there for my review of the Epiphone LP Ultra III. I've tried to cut and paste but it won't work. AMS, if you could take that review and put it with the reviews of this wonderful guitar, I'd appreciate it. I'm still in Wonderland and probably always will be.

I liked it for the first 2 weeks. Neck feels fast, tone was good but then it went south. All of a sudden the tuner no longer works. The jack for the nano mag is having issues. When I turn all the volume knobs off the guitar still has sound??? There is crackling coming from the pickup selector switch. Does not stay in tune very good and it keeps breaking high B and E strings. Would like to have Epiphone rework this but i called twice with no response. Not very happy with the purchase and still have one payment left.

Sound is good, playability is good, looks beautiful, the 3rd pickup is fun and adds a new dimension to the sound BUT it feels cheap\shoddy. The workmanship is not up to normal Epiphone standards.

Versatility is what comes to mind with the Les Paul Ultra III. I’ve gigged with this guitar since I received it. Super low tones out of it simply bring so much soul to any style of music. We cover music from the 1930’s to present day, from Blues to rock, from Doo Whop to country. This guitar can do it all. The only thing I have found I wish was different are the frets on either side of the neck could be smoother. They tend to grab the inside of thumb while going to work on the neck. The nano mag works seamlessly and I find the controls smooth and responsive. I am well pleased with my purchase. And will buy from AMS again in the future.

I'm a novice player but and have been teaching myself the how to play. This guitar makes it so much easier for me. I have several others, but this easily has become my favorite. The finish is beautiful as is the sound. The easiness of playing makes it fun to play and my fingers don't get tired. I haven't hooked up the software or used it on the computer but the electronics of this boy really kicks. The hooking of the acoustic amp and fender mustang allows me to vary the sounds.

Super sharp looking, gorgeous guitar-many, many positives with it. They acoustic sound is actaully very nice and the humbucker pickups really rock. This guitar has so much going for it. You can see how torn I am about my feelings. Anyways, the problem is, despite its numerous good qualities, the negatives, at least right now-outweigh it. For example:
1. Oh the Buzz !! the buzz hype you read about these guitars is sadly very true. for an 700 dollar guitar, this thing needs major work done prior to using it. its ceratainly not ready out of the box. It buzzes real bad
2. Grover tuners. i must admit, the Grover tuners were a selling point to me. But i guess these are chinese knock-offs or something since they are loose and cheap feeling. I cant keep this guitar in tune.
3. i just paid 50 dollars to have this thing worked on-it should have been double that however my guitar guy only charged me for 1.5 hours of work--not the almost 3 hours he put into it. Thanks Frank

All i can say is WOW!! ok now the review.. i got this guitar this morning and i was like a kid at a candy store window waiting for his mother to get done shopping so he could go inside. i had to wait to open my box.. but when i did it was gorgeous and shiny.. plugged it in and all i can say is wow i am playing it thru a MARSHALL AVT 275 with a zoom g9.2tt and the acoustic thru a fishman loudbox artist 120 and i own several other guitars including gibson, prs, fender, and other epiphones. wildkat es339 and this guitar is gonna be one of my favorites i can tell, switching from the buckers to the nanomag is a breeze and sounds so good.. i would recomend this guitar to any body it is a unique guitar sounds good plays good action is fast and it came setup ready to play all i did was change the strings to some elixer nanoweb superlights and what a difference in the sound.. buy one is all i can say you wont regret it!!

I have had this guitar for about a month and love it. It arrived and was set up excellent. I was concerned after reading reviews about fret buzz, but mine is perfect no issues.Using the USB connection and Guitar Rig software is ok, not great. I like the variations and sounds that I can get using standard and Nanomag pickups.

This guitar is well built with lots of "extras". Sound it amazing. Unlike other reviewers online, there was no fret buzzing and everything worked right out of the box.
I mostly play blues or classic rock. This guitar is extremely versatile. I was sitting on the couch watching TV and playing acoustically and because of the chambered body, it actually sounded pretty good!
All controls work well and are easy to reach/use. The "belly skirt" is great for women with "curves" ;) The neck is a "D" shape which is very different than any other guitars I own. It is going to take a little time to adjust to it. I recently injured my thumb tendon so the top curve kind of gets in my way - but this is not the guitars fault.
Wow! Tone! It is a serious contender for my Gibson LP. I am really impressed with the acoustic tones too! It is not as "tinny" as some reviewers make it out to be... but then again, this is an electric guitar.... it's not going to sound as sweet and warm as a quality acoustic.
The flame top is absolutely beautiful!! I bought the vintage sunburst. I checked this out top to bottom and could not find anything wrong with the finish.
I am very impressed with the quality and sound of this instrument. I have several "mid-range" guitars and this one is right up there in quality.
Well, I need a little bit lower action due to a hand problem, but if I didn't have a physical issue, the action would be perfect. I measured the string height and it is set up just like my favorite Gibson. Out of the box, it is perfect.

its a axe that all types of music can be played and sound great
the d shaped neck you will notice as soon as you pick it up.its great for bigger hands and thicker fingers
no coil splitting so its all les paul sound if you are looking to get a tele sound its not the guitar for you

well worth what i paid i dint get a scratch and dent.the finish guitar is perfect had small dents in pick-up covers. notified A.M.S. and problem was taking care of in a fast and fair way

The finish was a thing of beauty!
I use it to play in church. Every detail was perfect.
The NanoMag and the LED lights made easy to see what pickup I was on. The auto mute when the tuner is engaged is an awesome feature. Makes tuning a breeze during performances.
Bright.
Needed no additional setup.
Beautiful!
To new to tell. I cannot see why I would have any problems.

This Guitar needed a little set up but played pretty well out of the box. I love the way this guitar sounds, I plugged into an Egnater Amp. for the Humbuckers and to an Ibanez acoustic Amp. for the acoustic pic-up and all the pups are killers separated or stereo mix --- "OH YEAH!!"
So far I hate the the GutarRig Software, (down load from the internet) down load problems and hard to get running. I have down loaded several times and still not working properly. Should send a disc or something with the Guitar.
This Guitar is a real beauty, It looks to be very well built, very clean and finished, nothing cheap looking at all..it should hold up very well, only time will tell.
The neck feels great, I own several other Guitars and this one makes me want to play it, It feels nice and chunky-fast and nice and wide, I like 12' radius. The controls work great - plenty close and handy. Personally I wish it also had Master volume.
All pick-ups nice and hot, just adjust the tones on the guitar and Amps. pretty much any way you like, lots of sounds.
Pretty nice, I lowered it a little as a personal preference
I love it, nice professional job, very pleased.
Its only two weeks old, time will tell.

This guitar sounds and looks great. There are so many features, and all are useful. I own quite a few guitars, and this one is quickly becoming my favorite, even though I've owned it less than a month.
The quality of this guitar is amazing. I couldn't be any more pleased with my purchase of this Les Paul.
It has a great feel and the weight is just right. The neck is very smooth and has a size that is perfect for my medium-sized hands. Once I pick this guitar up, I don't want to put it back in the stand - I just want to keep playing it.
The tone on all the pickups is outstanding, with so many different sounds available depending upon the chosen settings.
The action out of the box was perfect. I tuned it and it was ready to go. I had to re-tune a minor amount afterwards a couple of times after the first tuning, and it has been spot on since then.
I don't believe that the finish could have been any better than it is. I purchased the vintage sunburst, and it is absolutely beautiful.
I haven't owned it long enough to comment on reliability, except that it stays in tune very well. The add on tuner is very useful for proving info on pickups selected, and keeping it in tune.

This guitar looks,feels and play and sounds as good or better than my Gibson Goldtop. The nanomag p/u is the coolest thing sincew sliced bread. Just wish it was available with the maestro tremolo.
It's a little heavy, but not as heavy as the goldtop solid body. The neck is perfect and very fast action. The p/u select switch/nanomag vol. control is very easy to get to and lets me change p/u's fast.
Great tone from deep growling bass to high treble and the sound from the nanomag is very good. Haven't tried it thru 2 amps yet, but the blend on one amp sounds great.
no flaws found anywhere. Vintage Sunburst is a beautiful finish
didn't have to change a thing. Tuned it up and it was ready to play.

It can do anything you want from a clean acoustic to screaming distortion
it looks really good shines i got the midnight ebony it is sharp the pics you see are nothing to how it really looks
it was actually just fine could be lowered a little for me but i kept the factory setup

I have Two Gibson Les Paul's And this Epiphone Les Paul. I think they all are a fine made product. I like how far advance the three is nice nice nice . AMS sent me a fine guitar .They are great

I think it is a fine product . I own 3 Epiphones and they are nice.I have the upper level ones . They play great and every guitar needs to be set up and every player plays different. so all the set up can be set for your needs. , the wood work is good and all are beautiful my first guitar was a Epiphone. They have come a long ways

This is an amazing guitar. You will have to take it to get set up properly, but still, very sweet sounding, fast, and beautiful!

It sounds great! You really can notice a difference between the pickups. Nano mag is just sweet!
Looks pretty good, just stay away from yellowish CFL bulbs. Makes this one look purple.
