Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? This guitar has a lot of balls! .. With EMG 81 & EMG 85 pickups it speaks for its self. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Mine was and is perfect..no blemishes really really nice. Action How was the action out of the box? Great action right out of the box! .Just give it a moment with your tuner and your on your way.

The ONLY blemish is on the fretboard, a small spot that is a little lighter than the rest on the ebony. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I've owned it for about a year and have not had a single problem. In fact, I'M still using the first battery for the pickups. Overall Your general opinion of this product. I've wanted this guitar for years so when this new version came out I couldn't wait any longer! If you want a guitar that plays great straight out of the box - this is it! Like most Les Pauls it's not that light, however I'm wouldn't describe it as "heavy". With a 2 1/2"-3" strap it's comfortable over a couple of hours. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? I've wanted a Les Paul almost all my life and hard rock/metal is my primary genre. You truly get the best of both worlds with this guitar! Action How was the action out of the box? Straight out of the box the action was great. I toyed with it a little bit, but (for me) there was no need to, i ended up going back with the original setting.
