Definitely a great buy!

What is your overall opinion of this product?
The guitar is stunning! The blue finish doesn't hide the wood grain in the guitar so you can see the flame in the wood through the blue finish and it's really beautiful. Much better than the pictures. It sounds like the Gibson ES335 series.
What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music?
Quality surprised me. I didn't expect this high quality from Epiphone since reading a lot of reviews but this one is really high quality with a budget pocket book. If you don't have a lot of cash for the Gibson ES335 then get this one and if you have the cash save the money!
Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Neck feels a bit wide and chunky but nice in your hand you feel like you're really playing a quality instrument and the neck is wide enough to finger pick comfortably. If you have large hands it's great. You don't have to squeeze your fingers together to get a chord.
How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin?
Tone can be bright and twangy all the way to jazzy you pick. I used a twin reverb and it sounds magnificent through it. You can even sound good unplugged for practice.
How did the stain or paint job look?
The blue finish is one of the prettiest I've seen. It's rich and elegant looking for any style of music and under lights it almost glows.
Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range?
I got more than expected from this guitar. I have a couple of Epiphone products and I'd stack them up against any more expensive guitar. This guitar is superb for jazz solos, light rock, or even surf. Not a guitar for metal or heavy rock but then for that you don't buy one of these anyway! AMS came through again and I'll be back for more.
How was the action out of the box?
Action out of the box was good. Not too high not too low. It can be lowered if you wish but is playable right out of the box with no adjustment needed.
