Sent it back and swapped it for a standard Dot (thank you, AMS!)

Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
It's a lovely guitar and plays nicely. Unfotunately, I found two problems that repelled me immediately: when you're holding the thing in your hands, the binding just looks like gold glitter thrown into some Elmer's glue. And even worse, the frets appear to be BRUSHED METAL. They're not even polished smooth and make a horrid "nails across the chalkboard" sound when you bend notes. It doesn't pick up too loudly through the amp, but you can just feel it through your hand as you play. Unplugged and at low amp volume, the noise during bending the strings is just unbearable. Extremely disappointing. No wonder it's a limited model.
Your general opinion of this product.
Minus the shoddy-looking binding and the terrible fret noise, I was pleased with it. However, the overall LOOK of it comes off a lot more "girly" in person than in the pictures. It's a REALLY sparkly guitar. A bit TOO sparkly.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Sounded great through my tweed Blues Jr. Surprisingly good pickups.
How did the stain or paint job look?
Sparkly. Pretty, but really sparkly.
