Product Review Epiphone hits the mark with this! The Joe Pass Emperor II Pro has the smoothest, cleanest sound in a guitar that I have ever had the pleasure of owning. Fit and finish were flawless. It feels solid in hand, intonation was spot on with the pinned bridge. It is an absolute BLAST to play. Works for blues, country, mellow stuff and rockabilly. What can I say? After playing for 55 years, and 40 as a touring pro, this is the first guitar I bonded with INSTANTLY, out of the box. Other than a string change and a quick adjustment of the pickup height, not a single thing else needed to be done. Well done, Epiphone, well done!

Product Review I have been playing this model for some time and am thrilled with the capabilities and sounds it offers. Yet, all of this is offered at an Epiphone price must easier to afford than a Gibson price. The quality of workmanship is excellent (not that i wouldn't love to have the Gibson if i could afford it), but it gives me all the sounds i wanted from it and the look and feel of a great guitar.

Product Review I loved this guitar. I discovered a chip that was forming in between the neck pick up and bottom of neck. This broke my heart.I returned it to AMS.My mother loved this guitar as well. I am now afraid of this being a reoccurring flaw in this hollow body guitar.

Product Review The one I got is really nice. It sounds great even acoustically. I tried all the others. Trust me this guitar has it all. The push pull feature makes it a real utility axe. I have been playing since I was 6.....1966. I was Eddy Arnold's guitarist from 1983 to 1991. I actually went to Joe Pass gigs in the 1970s to hear him in person. Sat 3 feet away from him while he played solo multiple times and also when he played with Ella at Carnegie Hall.

Product Review OK. If you are considering this guitar, then you have already realized you can't afford a Gibson 5k equivalent. The common question is "Will this Epiphany be a suitable, affordable 2nd". Here we go- FIT AND FINISH: Flawless. The Chinese really seem to have QC and workmanship under control. You will have no issue here QUALITY: Quality (Materials used) are OK. You have veneers on this guitar, so the ambient sound and tone will suffer a bit because of it. Space veneer doesn't reproduce the same effect as a solid spruce top. The Burstbuckers are really a great pickup and add a lot to make up for the body shortcomings. The tuners are Grovers, so good job there. SOUND: Yes!! The sound on this guitar is REALLY nice. Can you gig with it? Yes. It passes on that. OVERALL: I think for the money, one will be extremely pleased. Remember that you use a wound G string with this guitar. Its playability and overall performance is really nice. ITs not a Gibson, but it is a DAMN close 2nd.

Product Review I have been playing acoustic guitars for over 50 yrs. and was looking for a guitar to transition into the world of electric guitars. I rolled the dice on a scratched and dented and couldn't be happier with it. Love the split coil pick-ups. This guitar would easily cost $2,500 if made in USA.

Product Review As an owner of many very expensive Gibson guitars I am glad that I added this on to my collection. I got lucky and got one with a lot of grain on the front and it played perfectly out of the box. One of few guitars I didn't have to setup.

Product Review Finish and fit of everything is on par with high end products. Actually my 3rd Epiphone since 1967 and my 59th guitar on the wall. Yes I have played a long time but I am also and older guy. Seemingly lacks the tonal quality acoustically but it is not meant to be an acoustic instrument and an amp today and color it any way needed
