I am a victim of direct marketing and couldn't be happier. Item on my wish list for awhile and easy pay made it happen!
Quality build and came setup damn near on the spot. Sound is a 335 plus more. Tone range with the 3rd pickup is impressive. Neck feel is large, but quick. Feels comfortable sitting or standing. At this price and gorgeous looks you won't be disappointed!

The Guitar You Always Wanted

Epiphone guitars have been consistent in my honest opinion. My first guitar was an Epiphone and with Epiphone you know what to expect, and more times than not you will get it. The Riviera is a nice looking guitar, it was heavier than I thought it would be, the only thing I think I'll have to get use to is the Fretboard, been a rosewood guy and with these new wood that Epiphone and most guitar companies are using you can actually feel the difference. For me, its neither good or bad, just different. I want to say I'm just a notch above Novice, but I do feel the difference. Other than that the guitar is well built, just like my other Epiphones.

The Epiphone Riviera semi hollow body is the perfect guitar for those who won't and or can't spend for a Fender, Gibson, or small I say it...The very costly but worth it Rickenbacker. It sounds great for any genre. It plays smooth and handles great. I highly recommend this guitar.

I purchased this in wine red about 7 years ago. Today I sat and did a little string height adjustment and I still can’t get over the beauty, feel and sound of this instrument. I never use the bigsby so I could have gone another way but hey, maybe one day I’ll find myself wanting to learn it. Tone range is as wide as it gets. I’m about to buy a Les Paul muse for size and weight and because...it’s a Les Paul.
I’m a big guy and this guitar is a bit heavy even for me but I don’t play professionally. I’m a stool siting player. So yeah, beyond my expectations. Love AMC, buy all my gear here.

Surprisingly poor quality.
Crappy tuners with small buttons, dont think these are the grovers mentioned the manual...
Visible loose splinters on the sound hole. Looks like it was die cut and never dressed. Finish coverage of the edge of the sound hole laminate is spotty.
Worst of all could get very little tone out of it. You have 3 pups w a vol for each a 3 position. Should have a nice range of sounds but it's just kind of muddy. Doesnt sound like a hollow body...

The quality build and finish of this guitar would certainly rival it's much more expensive brother. The versatility and huge tone of the three p90s is off the charts! The action was a bit high, but action being a matter of preference i expect to do my own setup on a new guitar. I've gigged with it once, and will again tomorrow. I would definitely recommend this guitar

I've had this great guitar for about 10 days now and like it quite well. It was a bit out of tune when it delivered, no biggie. It has stayed in tune well. The tuners seem fine to me, despite the negative reviews. Mine was made in March of 2017. I'd have given it 5 stars but the tone control knob came right off, out of the box. I reinstalled it. Yes, I'd buy it again.

60 years playing, various kinds of bands and music, own a small, select assortment of nice guitars, but none with P-90's. So couldn't resist this gorgeous guitar with a stack of 'em!
Beautifully finished, seems well made. Mine required minor filing of nut to lower and level the strings, and needed intonation adjustment.
Now plays great and sounds WOW! Coctail mellow to crispy clean to rusty metal growl and howl. Lovin' the pups. We'll see how the guitar holds up structurally over the long haul, but at the price, it's definitely been worth my money.

The guitar itself is excellent. The tuners are(were) "Hokey". They are functional, but Cheap Looking. I put a set of Gold Klusons /w "White Pearl"/'Green' Button tuners. No Mod necessary. I should/Would have used Grovers, butI got lazy, and didn't feel like drilling out the headstock holes! Those are what would have been on a Vintage Epi anyway! I am a Retired Road 5-6 nite/week pro and local musician. I used to own a Musical Instrument shop!I did a minimal set-up tweak, and it was ready to go!I had some Ivory P-90 pup covers, so I put one on the Middle Pup! sets it off! I may change 'em all! Brightens Up the ax's appearance!

Epiphone tuners are substandered.
Epiphone claims that the gold tuners are Wilkinson but the gold flaked and wore off my 2011 in a couple of years. None of the gold on the Bigsby or pickups has worn off.
Every Wilkinson tuner that I've ever seen had "Wilkinson" stamped on it.
Epiphone will not replace as that is "normal wear".

First I'd like to thank theLord for letting me get this . I wanted and drooled over another brand that looks similar but costs tons more ( you can probly geuss) and second AMS for the fast shipping . This thing was packed so good I coulda dropped it from a 747 and not put a scratch on it. Now! The guitar. Oh man. Look at the pictures and then add it'll look twice as good in your hands . I'm still getting used to it cause I've played a telecaster since 78 but the tone and range you can get is something else. Don't let people tell you it can't be good cause it's made overseas they are dead wrong on this one. Fit and finish is flawless and it's not flimsy old glued wood . This has some weight because of the center Block which is a good thing . The bigsby just adds to the fun I'm telling you . If your debating on whether or not to get it my advise is go ahead on you won't be sorry I guarantee. Did I mention I liked it ?

I can't say enough about this guitar it's my first Epiphone as I usually stick to Gibsons and Fenders I have 3 gibsons including the Les paul supreme andI bought this guitar so I could have something to play outside my music room and at $529.00 I'm not so worried about scratches and such, However to my very happy surprize after I adjusted the action and gave it time to adjust and stay in tune it plays really nicely and seems to feel about half the weight of any of my Gibson's making it a lot easier to play with a strap for longer periods of time. I tested the 93 against my 2009 Gibson es 335 dot on A Marshel rig and Although the pickups put out about half the power of the Gibson 335 I'll have to say that this Epiphone has a very unique sound all it's own I found it to have a lite airy tone to it which I don't get from my Gibson's, I am extremely happy with the Epiphone 93 so don't knock it till you try it. Like me you'll probably be very surprized at the ease of play and unique sound.

Product Review
From the moment I pulled it out of the box, I haven't been able to put it down. It looks amazing (far better than expected) and absolutely no setup was required. The pots are smooth and have no noise along with the 3-way switch feeling identical to my Gibson Les Paul. From a quality standpoint, I would stack this against any guitar in it's class, costing much more, any day of the week. Probably the best guitar purchase I've made in a long time. Don't let the price of the guitar think you are getting a cheap piece of crap because that is farthest from the truth. This is my first Epi and will definitely look to buy another in the very near future. The finish is impeccable and the hardware was just as good. I am sold in Epiphone guitars and whomever buys this guitar will be just as happy as I am.

This guitar is one you want in your collection. Epiphone over the years since Gibson took over was know for a cheap poorly made instrument. I think they finally got what the Epiphone company was created for. This guitar is better quality than most more expensive guitars I have played. I own many Gibsons and this baby will keep up with the best of them. Pickups sound very good for stock pickups, switches are good quality and pots are good as well. Finish is good. Nothing to complain about. Sound on this guitar can go from Jazz to Country to Rock or anything in between. If you have not owned an Epiphone for one reason or another then you definitely want to play this one. I was pleasantly surprised with this guitar and play it a lot because once you get it, you can't put it down. Give it a try you won't be disappointed. AMS makes ownership really easy with their Easy Pay Plan. So what are you waiting for?

The P93 Riviera custom is an excellent guitar with Excellent sound quality, Aesthetically pleasing. However it was found to have blemishes on the pick guard (scratches) upon arrival. Other than the condition it arrived in, the guitar itself is a masterpiece.

I love the P93 Guitar. It has a silky feeling when I play it. It's quiet. It growls. It takes on the personality of the moment, depending on how I feel, and how I want to express the music I hear and create. The P93 is a wonderful instrument. Each pickup has its own sound. I have several amplifiers to test it through, but so far I've tested through a small Marshall amplifier, and the P93 comes through like a champ. I've played some jazz, folk, blues, rock, and R&B, and the guitar is just awesome. Definitely worth the money.

Not a fan of Epiphone, except for earlier/classic builds, unless they go through some hefty modifications. However this guitar is reminiscent of what Epiphone became famous for = well crafted, playable and yet affordable instruments that can compete with guitars in a much higher price range. I bought this guitar via a recommendation from a collector, and have never looked back. It is simply a stunning and beautifully sounding instrument, that is crafted to Epiphone's earlier standards.
There is so much to love about this guitar.
I have small hands, and the D tapered thin neck is perfect. I have 11s on this guitar after setting it up, and it's still easy for me to play. It produces some of the best blues tones that I have ever heard out of any of my many guitars, and it's a gorgeous instrument to look at. There were some small problems right out of the box, as reported, and those were the knobs needing adjustments. No big deal. This git is so much bang for the buck!!

Really Nice Guitar for the Price

Product Review
Looks good out the box, plays OK out the box just a few common intonation or new guitar issues like black fingers for a few weeks from the dark colored neck fingerboard, could use a few added upgrades to tweek the knobs and pickups to make it a little more impressive looking. Overall a good purchase that I'm happy to have in my arsenal and play it at night which is nice without an amp just to relax and crash out.
Yes, I really like the versatile sound quality I can't get from my other guitars, it's nice to have for rock blues or just Blues but I can use this guitar to do a lot more overall than many others including; solos or mixing it up with wa wa slam and heavy strumming combo riffs, and back to a smooth transition into mello strumming chords. Versatile guitar does a lot of different styles but I'm primarily Blues Rock with a lotta Soul.
Neck was surprisingly thin and shorter than I expected in feel. Easy to play all over and tweek riffs with a new feel and transition into all kinds of slides or runs that flow nicely on this guitar. Other than the black fingers you commonly get from the newer guitars with dark fret inlay coloring its great.
The tone was good and I have to be honest, no time to really open it up yet. The lower sound at medium level on my Amp really sounds clear and smooth. Pick ups have a deeper subtle sound and a smoother tone to it with a nice snappy sound I liked when I played Sublime if needed.
I happy with the overall look of the paint on the body and neck. I had a hard time with the knobs and pickup cosmetics and needed to put something else on quickly but other than that plastic look with those two things cosmetically it's a good looking "Wow" first response from most people.
Good Value and very nicely priced and a guitar I will keep in my band of shapes and sizes.
Good Action with nice trem easy action with a great sounding smoother than other guitar sound for blues and some rock styles. SRV vibe out was nicek

Outstanding for the amount I paid
Outstanding for the amount I paid
It's a bit heavy, but it is a big guitar
The tone is amazing - it has a rumble to it - The pick ups are very hot - great for a vintage stoner rock and blues
It's stained in a very dark wine - under a bright light you can see the wood grain - it's done really well
You get a lot of guitar for the money - well worth it
I live in South Florida - Very hot and humid - It always makes a guitar shipped here need to have a neck adjustment after a few days - However it's set up well

This guitar has a beautiful finish, and incredible tone!
I could find no blemishes or quality issues when I received the guitar. And I checked it very carefully!
I love the neck. It is a little thicker than the Epiphone DOT (which I previously had), but after just a few hours, I got used to it, and in fact, prefer it. The frets are perfect, and this guitar is a pleasure to play.
I hadn't played a guitar with P90 pickups in almost 40 years and I had forgotten the sweet tones and full midrange that humbuckers are missing. The setup and intonation were perfect out of the box.
Finish was perfect, and beautiful. The Wine Red stain allows the grain of the wood to show through. Every time I look it at, I stop take in it's beauty.
This guitar is a steal for $499. I had an Epiphone DOT in the past, and this guitar surpasses it in all aspects.
Action and intonation was perfect right out of the box!

Product Review
well the guitar is beautiful more than I expected from the pictures
the pickup selector switch does not work right.then it will be fine. a small black line on the fretboard binding I tried to rub it off with my wife's toothbrush and it didn't work. the blemish in the f hole as to minute to mention. I have had it a week and just got my amp the pickups sound awesome. the bigsby is awesome too
it feels fine but I want to lower the strings. I will also have to learn to not hit the middle pickup with my pick. I need to get used to the controls. I just wish that pickup switch worked all the time
I thought the tone was great and the pickups were hot, better than expected
this guitar I got in red and I never imagined it would look this beautiful
I felt that I got a good deal. I would have paid 10$ more for a better switch
it as ok . no buzzing I want to lower the strings in a month or so

Product Review
I got it last Monday, and played it out for the first time at a wedding this past weekend. Everyone LOVED it. I got told that it was "BEAUTIFUL" and "That guitar sounds AWESOME. And, it DOES. The high gloss finish, along with the Gold Hardware just makes it look absolutely First Class. But it could look like crap as long as it sounded like it does. It just RINGS. Very smooth sound. The 3 volume knobs let you FINE tune your tone, mixing the 3 pickups however you want to mix them. Clean tone that is just beautiful. GREAT Blues tone when run thru my Boss ME70 Pedal.
VERY well built. Solid feeling.
Neck is a little fatter than I was used to, but I genuinely like it BETTER already than ANY of my other necks!
ALL of the above! I spent the day that I got it just going from tone to tone to tone and LOVING them ALL! For Ballads, it has just an incredible RING...as Bright as you want it, as Smooth as you want it.
It does have the single coil hum if you add alot of gain, but the signal to hum ratio is plenty to play some screaming Blues or Rock without ever hearing anything but rich, sweet tone.
The High Gloss finish, along with that Gold Hardware, makes it look absolutely First Class.
It's WAY better than I expected for the price. I was expecting plastic pickup covers, and they are painted Brass!
I played it for about 2 hrs when it first came in, and then decided to change the strings, and lower the action. It was only a matter of personal preference. Right out of the box it was set up VERY nicely.

Incredible Guitar! Collectible!
By: Dale from Memphis, TN

Great guitar! Great value! Pickups, Bigsby, and Tuners alone would cost as much as the entire guitar if bought separately. This has the Custom Shop decal. And it's a anniversary issue to boot. Very collectible.
Quality is excellent. You'd have to pay $4000 to match it with a USA Gibson.
Great feel, great playing instrument...along with great looking. Impressive.
P90's give it that great early rock sound...but can get bluesy or jazzy at flip of a switch. Great country sounds also.
Looks like a new Cadillac...
Great deal.
Action was perfect out of the box.

Product Review
Although I just bought this guitar, I don't even have to guest, but however , I've own other Epiphone guitars before. The instrument Epiphone Limited Edition Riviera Custom P93 Electric Guitar is a very good, very well built , fantastic, well worth the price instrument for any body who wants a well made guitar.
The guitar, no doubt! is a well made instrument. In my opinion I should know something about guitars by now, I've been playing for more than 30 years.
Well, I must say that the guitar is very manageable. It is not heavy, and it is very easy to play. Once I had tuned it and break it in it played and sounded awesome.
The tone is very mild and warm, very bright, rich sounding tone. And although I just bought the guitar, the intonality is just awesome.
The finish is just fantastic. I can't say enough about it, just great.
As far as the affordability! The price is very reasonable. I really think that this type of instruments is well balanced for the money.
Once the guitar in tuned and break in it played and stay in tune a lot of time. The instrument played without any fumbling or missing a beat or a note.

Your general opinion of this product.
I was very impressed with the sound quality of this guitar. I have played with Les Paul's, Gibson's, and Fender's, and other less expensive guitars, overall, I was quite impressed with the tone quality and the subtle sounds at low volumes as well as high crunching using Fender amps! Great sound for less money when you are just starting out for bands!
I was very impressed with the quality of the workmanship for a semi-hollow body guitar for less than a grand!
Neck is smooth, pickups are solid, tuners are nice and snug, control knobs are smooth and tight as they should be! No complaints!
I am used to older style guitars, made in the 60's, and to me, this feels like one of the family.
The tone for this guitar has the range to go from bright and snappy to dark and haunting. You just have to know how to touch the strings to make it feel the way you want it to. I was impressed for this to be an Epiphone guitar.
Had to retune the strings, and adjust the middle pickup, but that is expected after shipment. Overall, it was a simple thing to do. In 30 min after opening, I was playing smooth jazz, then went to some 50's rockabilly then to some SRV Texas blues! No complaints!
I LOVED the wine red finish on the guitar, has just enough of the wood tone bleeding through the red to give it a depth of feel to it, as if it looks heavier than it really is. Good smooth finish front and back.

The quality is amazing. I've owned several Gibson, Heritage, Edwards, and the like, and this guitar, set up right, with the right gauge strings, action, and some tlc on the frets... it is the best hollow body for the money.
It is build extremely well. Everything sounds GREAT.
Your general opinion of this product.
I love this guitar.
FAST FAST FAST. I play a lot of Leon Rhodes, Hank Garland, Django Rhineheardt, Jimmy Bryant, and Les Paul stuff and this guitar is fat and fast. Roll the tone ON and it goes to PUNCH heaven!
VERSATILE! It does anything from Jazz to Country to Blues to Western Swing
PERFECT.
It was horrible, but it was adjusted as soon as it was taken out of the box, now it plays like butter.
