Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? My guitar was one that was returned - so I don't know its prior history. That being said, it looked brand new out of the box - and had no visible signs of abuse or misuse. It appears well made, and from my experience - you can confidently purchase a good used guitar from AMS. Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Overall Your general opinion of this product. This is a well made guitar and has some nice features (pearloid neck inlays, Flying V headstock, Kill switch) for an inexpensive piece. I purchase it wanting a guitar to play some modern/heavy rock stuff. It looks and plays the part! Your general opinion of this product. Very nice guitar with killer looks. For being inexpensive, it has some very nice features (pearloid neck inlays, Flying V headstock, Tone Killswitch). I bought this to play modern and hard rock. It looks and plays the part. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The guitar is lightweight. The neck feels thicker (compared to my Strats) but is very manuverable. The controls are easily accessible without being in the way. How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The guitar is very lightweight but still has good resonance. The neck is thicker and wider (compared to my Strats), but very manuverable (good for bigger fingers). The controls are reachable - but still out of the way where they aren't easily inadvertently contacted. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The pickups sound very bright and hot - produces good crunch. The guitar has very nice sustain and resonance. Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The pickups are bright, hot, and have good sustain. It has produced any kind of sound I try to get out of it. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? It has a light coat of stain, showing the wood grain. How did the stain or paint job look? Nice finish. Has a thin stain that still shows some nice wood grain. Action How was the action out of the box? The strings were set a little high, but I brought them down easily. I installed Zakk Wylde heavy bottom strings - and it took them without having to make any neck adjustments. How was the action out of the box? The original set-up was a little high, but I was able to make minor ajustments and easily bring it down.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? It's at least as well made as any other Epiphone. Always try before you buy, because the quality often varies from guitar to guitar, and be prepared to do some minor work on it to get it gig ready. Reliability How has it stood up over time? The guitar is brand new. It is well constructed and should last a long time with standard care. Overall Your general opinion of this product. It's a great little guitar for the price. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? This is an extremely light guitar, very well balanced. I would've liked a totally flat fingerboard, but the radius is very slight, and the guitar is easy to play. The single volume control is right up close to the strings, maybe too close, but I like using my little finger, instead of having to reach way down like on a standard LP, and maybe grabbing the wrong knob... Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? I will not need to replace the pickups as I have in the past with cheap Epi's. These humbuckers are strong, clear, beefy, with great mids. I know of no style of music that this guitar can not reproduce. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Mine is a satin black, not gloss, which seems to allow the notes to resonate very well. There is no pickguard, and I noticed that with regular playing, my fingers anchored on the body while picking seem to cause a small, barely noticeable glossy spot at the point of contact that I can't seem to oil out. This does not affect anything else, but it can be seen, closeup. Action How was the action out of the box? Here is where I had problems. There were a couple of buzzing frets, and some minor intonation problems, so I had a guitar tech do a setup, which fixed most of them.
