General Your general opinion of this product. AMS is a great company . They help me get a nice one.I think it a great guitar love the color and finish. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? This guitar is very well built. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Its light well balanced and a nice neck controls are placed nice, the pro pickup have a lot of sound options Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? It does it all. Action How was the action out of the box? It is set up nice .all it needs is some new strings. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The TV silver is great . I love that look Reliability How has it stood up over time? I am sure it will last

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I saw an almost total lack of quality workmanship. The neck pickup was crooked and not properly aligned with the neck. The pick guard was not finished properly, poorly fit and covered with scratches and dings. The finish was blotchy and uneven. The strap buttons were not mounted straight. The low E tuning machine was mounted at an angle to the others. Just a mess. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I cannot comment, I sent it back. General Your general opinion of this product. I've been buying and playing guitars for over 40 years and this is the worst "new" guitar I've seen. I would not recommend this guitar to anyone interested in quality workmanship and attention to details. Great idea, an affordable Explorer, but poorly executed. I expected much more from Epiphone. I hesitated to post such a negative review but I feel very strongly about this and, as an experienced axeman, I wanted to give my honest evaluation of this disappointing product. I commend the AMS staff on their fast and courteous return service. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? I had it only a short while but I noticed poor upper fret access and it was very neck heavy. You have to hold it up and play. Not a comfortable way to play well. The controls were OK but the pots had a sloppy feel. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Fairly high output pickups. Not bad. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Poorly done. Uneven with lines and multiple dark blotches not related to the grain of the wood. Action How was the action out of the box? Acceptable, but it felt high.
BETTER THAN BIG BROTHER(Gibson).

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Very well made indeed,I think its time the epiphone luthiers recieve the pat on the back they so truelly deserve. Reliability How has it stood up over time? good so far, I havent had it long though about two months. General Your general opinion of this product. I have owned an original explorer and dont get me wrong I loved it but this one seems to be a much better value, especially if you are going to install a Kahler trem. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? @&%$**$ owsome, everything is where I would have put it if I was building a custom guitar.Neck joint Is perfect.I only wish I could have gotten it with a flat mount Kahler from the factory. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Some epiphone electronics such as the pots and switches and pickups can leave more to be desired as far as tone is conserned but I find these are just fine for now.as the tremolo upgrade is enough for now. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? GREAT! much better than the exp, I once owned from gibson. Action How was the action out of the box? Mine was just fine. However I had to change the bridge out anyhow so it would'nt have mattered
