Sound:
The tone playing clean is so warm and clean distortion it sounds good but im playing more blues now, an SG has great tone for blues
Reliability:
Great, my first Epiphone, my first SG, never wanted one, but this thing was awesome and im used to playing a 1976 Les paul, I love my SG400
Overall:
I never thought i would own any Epiphone product let alone an SG400lefty, saw it used at an online retailer and decided to check it out, I was completely floored on the tone and playability, the guitar was amazing!!
Playability and Feel:

Great Overall Value
Quality:
So-So. I described the apparent cosmetic flaws earlier. The finish is really beautiful though. Tuning seems to keep reasonably enough.
Sound:
Unless you play thrash metal or jazz, the stock pick-ups are good enough. Warm, fat, crunchy tones distorted, sweet mellow cleans.
Reliability:
Played it in one live gig so far and it played beautifully without going noticably out of tune.
Overall:
Being a left handed guitarist it is hard to find good quality instruments at affordable prices. I've played Carvins for years simply because they will custom build leftys for the same price asa standard. But this time I was really ina crunch-financially and time wise- and I needed an axe NOW that was affordable as well as playable. When my G400 arrived, the firstthing i noticed was like a glue or epoxy residue sloppily left on the side of the neck; I shrugged that off as being "you get what you pay for". Then I noticed one of the plastic buttons on top of the tone knob had come off and needed to be glued on. Hence my 3/5 star rating for Quality. I plugged it in and then noticed that the action was unbelivably high. Like slide guitar high!! I lowered it to my liking and began to play. What a sweet tone!! And I've never been able to play so far up a neck before like you can on an SG. Sub-par construction aside, the G400L is a great sounding guitar for the money.
Playability and Feel:
Love it!! Way more comfortable than expected.
Tone:
Dark and mellow, not snappy at all. Good for hard rock and blues.
Finish:
Beautiful and well done.

After a good thirty years of playing I found it!
Quality:
This is how a guitar should be!
Sound:
easy to tune and stays in tune
Reliability:
I just recieved this guitar but I can tell the craftsmanship is superb
Overall:
First the look and finish are top notch
Playability and Feel:
Feels better each time the set up is perfect for getting to the controls. I heard the neck was heavy but it feels perfect to me, it's very fast. The sound is sweet!!
Tone:
the pickups are fine and easy to adjust which makes it easy for me to sound that emotion out
Finish:
Couldn't ask for more. It's an art piece.
Action:
the neck is as sweet even sweeter then anything I've ever touched and I've played around with many. This at the very least stands right beside a guitar I played years ago that even then cost thousands more.

What a sweet Guitar
Quality:
This G-400 came right out of the box ready to play. The finish on it is incredible. Electronic work great. Nice job Epiphone!
Reliability:
I've only had it for about a month now, but i don't foresee any problems.
Overall:
I did alot of research and this is by far the best guitar in this price range.
Playability and Feel:
Very light and easy to play. Neck feels good and the controls are no problem to get to while playing. I'm going to have a complete setup done just and go down in strings to make it even easier to play.
Tone:
Pickups sound great on both or together. I like the treble pickup for ACDC riffs and both together for lighter stuff.
Action:
Action was nice and low
