Reliability:

I was never a big fan of Les Pauls..Always a Strat kinda guy..Well I got an itch to own a Les Paul and like most normal hard working Americans with a family a real Gibson is kinda outta reach price wise..So I took a shot with the epiphone..WOW!!!!!!!!!! what a great freakin guitar!!!!!..It looksabsolutely beautiful..plays like a dream..and sounds... well...ball crushingly amazing!!!

again plays like a dream
Tone:
with the dual volume and tone knobs you can get any tone you want...pickups are great....may throw some seymour dunkins in it...doubt it though

EPIPHONE NAILED IT !!! Great guitar value!!!!
Quality:
I consider this to be an extremely well crafted guitar and it is obviously going to be very dependable.
Sound:
Tone is great and exactly what I expected from Epiphone...
Reliability:
I havent had it long at all , but it appears very solid.
Overall:
Very well constructed and attention to detail was painstaking.Very solid.
Playability and Feel:
It feels heavy enough to be solid but not overly so . I could jam with this thing on for hours and not be bothered. The neck feels like glass , it's so slick. The controls were well placed and I love the dual sets of knobs .
Tone:
The trebel was bright and the rythym was darker and tonal. The pickups are great.I dont see a need to change them out anytime soon.
Finish:
The finish is beautiful and pictures hardly do it justice..
Action:
The action out of the box was great after a quick tuning.

bang for the buck? can't beat it.
Quality:
the guitar appears to be very well made, the fit and finish are beyond words for the price I paid.
Sound:
being a novice I have to say that it sounds great, but then I'm a novice,so what do I know! I'm playng it through a line6 spider IV.
Reliability:
I've only had the guitar for a month now, so I can't rate the reliability, looks as if it's going to hold up well.
Overall:
excellent value for the price
Playability and Feel:
the guitar is heavy, no doubt about it. I'm used to the light weight of my Fender, sonoma acoustic, which is a feather weight compared to the Les Paul. the neck is perfect, very fast and just the right feel. I'm still a little sketchy on the basic controls as this is my first "electric" so are they easy to get to while playing? no.
Tone:
Tone? I could tell you more if I had more background with electric guitars, as is I'm at the present satisfied with the tone.
Finish:
I bought the heritage cherry burst pattern and I can't stress enough how immpressed I was with the guitars finish....superb!
Action:
out of the box intonation was slightly off, but not enough to warrant having it adjusted, someting I wouldn't want to attempt with my lack of skills.

It feels perfect. The neck is a little smaller than the other neck on my other guitar that i have. I like the smaller neck, its easier to play.

True hot Les Paul tone. Sounds just like Jimmy Piage.
Reliability:
Overall:
I had a Gibson Les Paul many years ago and had to sell it. I wanted to replace it recently but couldn't afford a Gibson so I bbought the Epiphone version. I played both guitars (Gibson and Epiphone) side by side, plugged in, in a store and could not find a differnce. Seriouly. It is absolutely identical. I have adjusted the action and checked the other adjustments but those were perfect out of the box.
Playability and Feel:
It plays like a Les Paul. It feels the same as the one I owned back in the 70s. the neck is dead straight and true.It is heavy but it stays put if you play hard.
Tone:
This is a PAF humbucker pickup guitar and sounds like it. You have heard it a million times and love it.
Finish:
The flame top on this guitar is beautiful, truly classic. Identical to Gibson finish

Surprisingly good!
Quality:
Good quality out of China! Maybe they're getting better or Gibson is doing some tight quality control, but I was impressed.
Sound:
Loads of tone and that trademark LP sustain.
Reliability:
So far so good! High E string broke in shipping, but I was going to put on my favorite brand, anyway.
Overall:
True to the original at a fraction of the price. I'm not going to say this is as a good as the $1800 Gibson version -- I've played them side-by-side and it's not! But it is close enough for real world gigging. This is now my primary axe for playing out.
Playability and Feel:
True to the Les Paul tradition! Difficult to distinguish between this and the high-end model in overall playability and feel.
Tone:
Pickups are noiseless, though I find some of the brighter settings a bit on the tinny side.
Finish:
The Cherry Sunburst is beautiful. It's a laminate, but you have to look very closely to see that it isn't "real".
Action:
It was playable out of the box, but I did some small tweaks just to suit my style. This was the surprising part to me -- I generally need to take a new mail order guitar to the luthier, but this one came set up just fine.

Quality:
You can tell the amount of work and detail that went into this guitar. And it plays so well.
Sound:
It has the Famous Les Paul tone even with a cheapo 15 watt Ibanez amp.
Reliability:
To soon to tell
Overall:
This guitar screams quality. My friend that owns a Gibson Les Paul could not believe the craftsmanship or the price that I paid for this Epiphone. Comparing the two: The Gibson has better Fret board and frets, hotter pickups, better tuning pegs,Top is the actual body, and the neck is a little different.
Playability and Feel:
Well the Epiphone is alittle lighter than the Gibson, but not by much. This guitar feels great though. Its very comfortable in my hands. The neck is very smooth for fast playing. The controls are easy to reach. I've also noticed that after 8 hours of playing it has not gone out of tune.
Tone:
It basically has the Les Paul tone. The only upgrade that I would do to this guitar is changed the pickups to Semoure Duncan alnico 2 pro's
Finish:
I ordered the Vintage Sunburst and the pictures on this website does not do it justice. It's really a sight to behold.
Action:
Actually I was very surprised that this baby came set-up perfect.

Who Needs A Gibson?
Quality:
Mine is a used mid 90's Korean made model which has a few mods. My wife bought it for me yesterday for my birthday and to be honest, the quality of this guitar is right up there with it's USA made counterpart. It's extremely well made without any issues at all.
Reliability:
Well, mine is a mid 90's model, so it seems like it has lasted a long time and will last a lot longer, and seeing that I tend to baby my equipment, longevity should not be a problem.
Overall:
The previous owner installed Kluson tuners and Duncan pickups which IMO, vastly improved both the tone and the tuning of this guitar. I am a Fender Strat guy but this guitar blows both of my Strats out of the water and is slowly strating to become my favorite.
Playability and Feel:
It only took me a few minutes to get used to the shorter scale and slightly thicker neck, but once I did,I had a blast just wailing some classic Zeppelin riffs. This guitar is a little heavy but using a thicker strap should alleviate that problem.
Tone:
I've tried Epiphone Les Pauls in the past and never cared for the pups because to me they sounded too muddy, but seeing that mine has Duncans in it , the tone is bright and clear while still retaining that classic humbucker tone.
Finish:
The Honeyburst finish on mine is just beautiful and seeing that mine didn't come with a pickguard gives it that Slash from Guns N' Roses look.
Action:
Mine was perfectly set up and intonated when I got it and the action was set just right to my liking. No problems at all.

I have only owned this guitar for a week so I can not honestly comment on it's reliability.
Overall:
This guitar is easy to play and has a great tone. The entire guitar screams quality, which is quite unusual for a foreign made guitar.
Playability and Feel:
I love playing this guitar. Just switching from a 22 fret from a 24 fret guitar has improved my over all playing ability.
Tone:
The tone is right in sweet spot for me. I put on 11-48 on, which has really brought out the tone in this guitar.

This guitar (transparent blue) looks incredible. Everyone who has seen it is floored by how good it looks.
