Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I just sat down and played it for about an hour and I can't remember the last time I enjoyed playing a guitar so much. The crazy thing is that I have 2 Gibson Les Paul Standards, and the only difference was in the weight.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I've only had it a week, but I have been playing guitar almost all my life, and I can tell quality when I see it. This guitar will last forever!
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
This is an amazing guitar! If you are the type of person who has to have a certain name on your guitar's headstock and wouldn't purchase this guitar, you're missing out. This guitar sounds, plays, and feels wonderful. I have 2 Gibsons and 3 Paul Reed Smiths. If anybody should be a guitar snob, I should be, but I'm going to buy another Epiphone Les Paul very soon.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The neck is perfect for shredding. I play in a Black Sabbath tribute band and we play some long shows sometimes, so the fact that this guitar is not heavy like my Gibsons is a plus. The controls are very easy to get to, just like a Gibson. Again, Awesome Guitar!
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
You can get a lot of sounds out of this guitar. The pickup in the bridge position sounds way different than the pickup in the neck position and the two of them together produces a third sound. With the third sound, adjusting either volume control can produce even more variations.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
The paint job on this guitar is one of the best ebony paint jobs I have ever seen. It's flawless and beautiful!
Action
How was the action out of the box?
The action was good, but I like my action super low, so when I changed the strings I lowered it even more. No fret buzz!

Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I went over it with a fine tooth comb as other reviewers have complained about EPi's quality. The finish was flawless. Feels very solid and well made.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Have only had it a week so can't speak to the length of time thing yet, but given the quality of craftsmanship I expect it to have a long and very useful life.

Beautiful shinny black paint job with white trim. beautiful inlays on the neck.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Action was great right out of the box, it was set to the lowest point already. I didn't want to adjust it one bit. Only thing i did was raise the pickups.
Quality

This guitar appears to be as solid as a mack truck. Its most likely just luck of the draw, but the action on it was great right out of the box. All I did when i first got it was raise the pickups.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I have owned other guitars of this same make and they are very solid.

Great playing, beautiful and well made guitar. I wouldnt want to change anything on it. Sounds and feels great.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
For me this guitar has very low and fast action. Nice wide big neck. The neck is thicker than most people may like compared to like and Ibanez, but i have very big hands and this guitar feels great for me.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
I think the pickups have great tone, I'm sure if you bought burst bucker pros or PAF pickups, they may be an improvement, but i think the standard pickups have great highs, lows and mids. I love the tone when i use my wah and with out it. I genraly play van halen, slash to napalm death various metal and rock and punk with it. It sounds great for all styles that i play.

Just got this guitar from AMS. It is my first Gibson ever (played 20 years). You cannot beat this guitar for the price. Looks and sounds awesome!

How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Solid guitar, neck is sturdy. I did not know the volume knobs control the neck and bridge humbuckers. Awesome for sony dynamics!

Tonal pallette is diverse. Clean sounds can be whatever you want. Nice, full, open chords ring true. overdriven tones can range from AC/DC to Pantera and everything in between.
