General Your general opinion of this product. I was expecting a "decent" guitar. I have been playing guitar for 40 years, and worked in the acoustic dept. at a huge guitar chain. This guitar is the best I've seen or played in years. Solid as hell, feels great. And the built in Shadow sound-hole tuner is awesome and extremely accurate. Great addition to an already killer guitar. And they put on a strap button on the neck heel! There's $35 extra you won't need to spend having installed! Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Perfect action out of the box. I mean, PERFECT. I usually have to get a tweak or set-up done on a new guitar, but this one is ready to rock immediately. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? It's got a solid spruce top, so I expected an ok sound, but this one really projects. Strings are new, so a little bright, but give it a week of playing, and those strings will settle in nicely. Huge sound, actually Finish How did the stain or paint job look? This finish is flawless. Not a drip of lacquer anywhere. And the satin finish on the neck is a pleasure to play. Action How was the action out of the box? Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Intonation, string height...everything just right. Not a buzz or dead spot anywhere on the neck.
