Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Meh, i mean i bet the actual ESP neck thru rig is a better deal, but this guitar is VERY light.. almost feels like styrofoam cored or something haha. tuners are good, the guitar has never had a single issue.. but i can tell this is no expensive wood under this black paint. Does not feel cheap tho.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
A few dents there n there.. that long part of the V reeealy sticks out.. be careful when youre turing around w it.
General
Your general opinion of this product.
Its certainly its own animal and is not going to sound great clean.. but for metal, its playable as hell.. id reccomend some upgrades tho...
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
its certainly not chunky as its reeealy light. Sustains are ok then too.. but i ran actives ( emg hum/single all in one combo) and its really a nice guitar to grind away on.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
very pitchy. Certainly not the guitar youd use if all you ahve is the overdrive in your practice amp in your bedroom etc. I use a zoom gfx 5 cabinet modeling pedal and a great pa.. jsut stepped up for a Fender frontman 2 12 cab now too.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Looked great. Zero problems.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Very good. I chose Elixir ultra lights for a better feel and string tension.
