I've owned better, but it's still a keeper.
Quality:
The volume and tone knobs don't spin level, and look they are going to fall off any day now. In fairness I could probably remove them and re-tighten them myself fairly easy, but they were shipped this way and therefore it's a negative.
The strings went flat rather quick, probably the cheapest they could get on there. Again, this is an easy fix, but new strings comes out of my pocket not theirs, so that's a bummer I have to replace them so quickly for losing a substantial amount of tone in so quick of a time.
Features:
For a 5 string bass, this one is still probably your best deal out there. It's also got the active tone boost, which in practice seems to boost the volume quite a bit. It gives the attack of your playing a boost along with volume, so that's a plus. Of course you could simply turn the volume on your amp up a bit and get the same results, but having an active boost helps out a little bit, if your a dynamic player and want to roll off some of the hard edge for slower, or quieter parts.
Sound:
When I first got this bass it had an almost piano like feel when I hit the strings, after a few days of playing it lightly it really lost a lot of tone, both with the boost and without. I changed the battery to see if i was just hearing things that weren't there and the muddy dead tone remained. It was so much better days before, and this is probably just a cheap string problem. I'm sure I'll get that bright attack back with a new pair of quality strings.
Playability and Feel:
Good. I'd love to keep bashign this guitar more, but to be honest the feel was nice. It hangs from a strap pretty good, and isn't too heavy at all. It's a pretty solid bass. It's easy to get to the entire fretboard, and it pretty comfortable to play.
Tone:
The pickups seem to be decent. They passive side of things gives it a smooth and steady thump on the lower half. The higher frets and strings wash out a little too much without the tone boost. when both pickups are active you loose some volume, but it isn't a big negative in the long run.
Finish:
It's black. There isn't much going on here. It's kinda glossy and loves to collect finger prints. It peels off a bit too easy too, I barely made contact with the edge of my desk and took a nice chunk out of the paint, cutting deep into the finish. I was kind of surprised it came off so easy.
Action:
Horrible. This guitar was not setup as claimed before shipping. Not sure who's fault this was, but the intonation was so bad I couldn't get notes in tune above the 12th fret without major intonation tweaking on each string.
The action is still a bit high, but I haven't yet adjusted it for fear of causing unwanted fret buzzing.
The neck looks straight, so I didn't bother touching the truss rod.

Quality:
This bass is well made, actually better made than the B155. that I owned years ago and warped on me
Features:
It had something I didnt expect for a low dollar bass. Active electronics. This really brings out the sounds and helps get a proper pop and cut on the high end. plus a deep growl on the low
Sound:
I set my new harke amp to a flat sound and it gave me a flat sound. Then I set the bass and treble flat and the EQ in the "U" shape. it gets great responce and brightness all the way around
Playability and Feel:
It is very light, great for long shows if I ever get back onstage. But always make sure the batter is changed before you play and unplug to save battery life.
Tone:
THe pickus are very balanced. I can use a dark sound or a bright depending on how I set the amp
Finish:
Its black. there are no chips or rough spots.
Action:
Action on this bass is really smooth, I havent played a bass in over 2 years and picking this up feels like I never left.
