The highest quality instrument I've ever played - the absolute BEST
Quality:
Top notch, comparable to any USA made gibson, even customs.
Before I bought this guitar I purchased the Epiphone Prophecy EX at around $800..I knew it was Korean made, but I figured, hey, they're owned by Gibson now, and it's one of the highest priced epiphones that they sell -- so the quality HAS to be good, right? Wrong. It was TERRIBLE..so much so that I shot an email to Gibson saying how dissatisfied I was. The Eclipse is expensive, but it's worth it in the long run.
Sound:
I had my doubts because the guitar is so light...but once I plugged it in, I was blown away. Neck pickup is INSANE...The EMG60 is better than the 85 IMHO.
Reliability:
I'm sure it will, have only owned it a few days now.
Overall:
It's expensive, but it's worth every penny.
Playability and Feel:
It's a light guitar (weight wise), and I honestly wish that the "Full Thickness" (FT) version was sold in the USA (I haven't seen any on ANY websites or in any stores, but I see them on ebay and forum \ trading sites every once in a great while, maybe they're imports?), but it does NOT affect the tone AT ALL. So overall, it's super easy to play. The belly carve on the back and the neck profile are perfect. The neck is fatter than my Ibanez but not too thick -- I think it's right in the middle which should be really easy to get used to for anyone right from the start.
Tone:
Oh man, tone is A++++ top notch PERFECT..both metal rythm and leads, and clean.
Finish:
Perfect..I went with snow white to match my 7 string Ibanez RG1527M (it's "Galaxy White")
Action:
I've purchased 5 guitars brand new and this was the only one that came set up perfect out of the box...the action is right where I like it..low, but with no buzzing and no dead notes. You can tell that ESP Japan knows what they are doing, that's for damned sure.

Very well and very well made. Have'nt had it long, but it feels solid as I said before, and like I said before, This guitar arrived to me in flawless condition.
Sound:
I wasn't prepared for the quality of tones produced from this guitar. I played some metal and it sounded amazing. My fried then played some real punky pop riffs and it was incredible. My dad then plaayed some jazz and blues, and we were all blown away at how great and versitile this guitar was. I have a few fenders(strat and mustang) and a vintage kramer from the 80's. They can not compete with this guitar on range of sounds
Reliability:
Just arrived today, so Im still taking extra care with it, but it feels very well built. Checked around the binding and all around the guitar and it is just perfect, could not find a single flaw anywhere on the instrument. Havent had to retune it yet, and the tuners secure the strings very well.
Overall:
Stunning in all ways. I am a big fan of the LTD series, and was really just bought this guitar on a whim. Glad I did, the feel of this guitar ans it's body shape is superb.
Playability and Feel:
Feels and plays like a dream. super fast neck. The neck fits my hand perfectly.
Tone:
The bridge pup is smooth, while the bridge pup just screams. Both are bright and have yet to come accross a sound I havent been able to get.
Finish:
Absolutley flawless!
Action:
The action out of the box was much better than my LTD H100 (after getting it set up by a proffessional). Took it to my guitar shop and they tweaked it, and now its just incredible. No fret buzz, and the action is just perfect.

Sound:
Of course it sounds great with a mahogany body and EMG pick ups. Great tone and sustain. Acoustically, sounds great as well!
Reliability:
Very well. Play it everyday and gig with it. Had it for about 4 months, no issues.
Overall:
Super Sweet. Plays and sounds like a much pricier guitar. Looks like million bucks.
Playability and Feel:
Neck profile is perfect for me but thinner than your average C shaped Les Paul neck. I think ESPs "Thin U" neck profile is perfect, not too thin, not too thick. Some say this guitar is heavy... It isn't the lightest guitar in the world but WAY lighter than most Les Pauls, especially a LP Custom! The body is thinner than an LP and has a waist cut out so its pretty comfy to play sitting or standing.
Tone:
EMG... Mahogany... 'Nuff said!
Finish:
Sexy. I have the vintage black with gold appointments and I love the look of it. Its really just a satin black, but with the aged binding and gold hardware it looks classic but still mean.
Action:
Very good right out of the box. Had it professionally set up with heavier gauge strings and it plays like a wet dream. The satin finish on the back of the neck & the ebony fretboard make it super fast and smooth. Good fret work to...

This guitar is very well made. It's the first ESP I bought and I am very impressed. I'll have to get back to you on dependability. I just started to gig with it, but so far, it's holding up very well.
Sound:
Sweet! If you can come up with it, it'll sound fantastic. Chiming to ripping...it sounds amazing.
Reliability:
I haven't had this one for very long, about 6 months, but so far it seems to be very well made and seems to have good parts throughout.
Overall:
I've got many guitars, ranging from $1,500 to $4,000. This guitar is every bit as good as the high end customs I have.
Playability and Feel:
Right out of the box, playability was very good. I have 6 Gibson Les Paul Customs, so the weight was nothing new to me. The neck felt very good and fast. The volume and tone knobs are well located and easy to find mid song. The only thing I've done is add good strap locks.
Tone:
This is the first guitar I've got that, that I haven't added Seymour Duncan Screamin Demons to. I actually like the EMG's. I play metal and this thing rips. If you turn down and play some jazz or country...this guitar sounds very good too. The EMG's are a bit bright, but they're active.
Finish:
Mine is white and the pics do not do this guitar any justice! When you hold it and look at the finish, you see that this thing was well put together and finished professionally.
Action:
Right out of the box was good, but I always have my tech do a good set-up on all of my axes. If you're a beginner, intermediate, or pro, it's quite good.

Quality:
This feels rock solid, everything looks good, there is a good fit and finish feel that other guitars I hefted before finally decided on this didn't have. My Fender has 24 frets and this one has 22, but
Sound:
From the first strum I could hear great sound, which is a better advantage over the rough sound from prior guitars.
Reliability:
I've only had this for less than a month so there is not much experience with this question, check back later
Overall:
Very nice, smooth and clean good appearance, great neck. Strings seem a little tinny but that may be just because they are new. My other guitar is a Fender Showmaster and the difference can be compared from driving a truck to driving a sports car. The Fender is serviceable and was a good first guitar, but then this guitar comes along and it's like driving a Porsche down a winding road, great feel, good handling.
I've got it hooked to a Lunchbox Amp and when you crank the gain and turn up the ESP you can wail, rock and sing the blues in your biggest concert hall...
Playability and Feel:
As mentioned, the comparison from Old Fender Showmaster to New ESP Eclipse II VB is like night and day. The Fender was a reliable truck heft, feel and play while the ESP Eclipse is more sports car, faster, lighter and good looking. You want to be seen 'wearing' this guitar.
Tone:
Hard for me to describe, when my instructor can play he'll better give a more professional opinion.
To me, it sounds great using the Lunchbox Amp I can put the Guitar and amp into a gig bag and play all night.
Finish:
Paint job was/is flawless, no nicks, scratches or dents. Color is even and pure. I have the Vintage Black and there are no shiny spots.
Action:
Good action, great feel, I felt I could play a little better with this. After tuning everything fell into place.
