Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Compared to the kh-202 , it has nothing to compared with! The 602 has a neck-thru-body that provides GREAT quality in construction , it has REAL!! EMG`s , for the REAL Metallica sound!! Great touch , Great look , great color ( if you love black!! ). You feel that you own qulity when you take it!! And , it plays great.

I just said that in ``quality`` zone..But , if you prepare to buy a GOOD Metallica guitar.., skip the 202 to have the 602 , a best quality in Metallica guitars! You wont regret to pay the double or triple to have that nice guitar!!!
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
It feels like a big thing , wich is almost as big as Metallica!
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
The heavy-metal sound is provided by EMG pickups definitively , and it`s a good thing to try to follow the sound of the best Metal band ever - Metallica

How did the stain or paint job look?
Black - as Kirk Hammett wants. Black guitars , almost the strings and the frets only are not black ( I guess that could be arranged ). James heitfield has better choice of color for his guitars. But if you like the Heavy-metal BLACK look on your guitar , well , this guitar is one for you!!

How was the action out of the box?
