I was totally blown away at how in your face this bass was for the money. I play a half adozen other basses up to $550 and this thing just ROCKED!
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
The sound and tone were just what i needed. The P/J combo is sweet bliss.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
Definately worth the price. My other bass is a Carvin BB4 and i don't even play that anymore. I'm gonna sell that and buy another 1 of these.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
You can get a wide range of useable tones without any problem.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Could have been more "vintage looking" but it was only a $350 bass.

For the Price I don't think theres much out there that can touch it. I am really impressed with the classic vibe squire series, but this tops it for sure.

I love the P/J set up, rolling back the J just a bit lets that bottom end punch through. The tuners seem to stay in tune, and while the bridge isn't a badass, or a gotoh, it is larger mass than many stock bridges.

With a P/J set up anything is possible. I am using it mainly for recording right now, which is why I put the emgs in. In most cases I would recommend a set of dimarzios, or if you can afford them delanos, and I may eventually put a badass II on it, but over all this bass is playable right out of the box, and an amazing deal for the cash.

Theres not nearly as much effort put into these as the road worn series i.e the hardware is all unworn, and if your close enough you can tell that the wear is part of the finish, and the neck actually isn't sanded , but just looks worn and old. That said, I love the way the matte sunburst finish looks, I love all the fake chips and scratches, and I love the aged look of the neck, and come on its a fraction of the price of a roadworn mexi.

so far so good i do want to upgrade pickups and bridge but i think at this price point that is understandable and the stock stuff is fine for now you wont have to change anything right away.

the finish, the maple neck. the neck is alot thinner than a fender even a fender jazz, so it took a little getting used to also flatter kinda like and ibanez neck but cooler.

yeah yeah went over this already.

i have the black on i love it although i would have got the sunburst if it came in a maple neck but happy with what i got.
